Why would you assume it is going to be scrapped after having flown from Oz? I think it would be unusual to put it into the hangar to be scrapped.

Stop press news. It is in for hush-kitting.;)

Its in the DAS mainteance hanger as michael said being hush-kitted. anyone know where its going to be based after this?

PS I dont work at MSE, but if you like info I might be able to get you some:D

Well, Iceland of course :rolleyes:

The Wessex is a turbine development of the S58/H-34. The S58T is a turbine update of the S58/H-34. Wessex first flew in 1958, first S58T conversion flew in August 1970.

Thanks Pete and Moogy 😎 I found that the Sea King was Rescue 128 based at E Flight, 202 Squadron at Leconfield near Hull and was the sole remaining RAF Sea King providing search and rescue cover at Gloucester Airport. Some intresting pics there. What airforce is that Nicaraguan S-58T? and is it a copy off the Westland Wessex?

Indeed Mr Manston Airport, the hornet is Finnish Air Force.
Or Ilmavoimat to give it the correct Finnish title.

thanks Woody Thought it was from Ilmavoimat at 1st I thought it was from the Greek Air force but I remember they dont have F-18’s (Do they?).

Thats a nice gardern with a little River running by it:rolleyes: Ever thought off buying a boat Deano:D are you still flooded Michael and Ivan?

BTW what sqn is the RAF Sea King that you see on the news?
