So you want to exchange one public information with another public information? Believing that AF is inaccurate and 1’th channel isn’t? (you clearly busted yourself with the Putin comment and comment after that) By your standards we can’t trust anything. I on other hand choose to trust AF more than 1’th channel.

.

5G fighter is not some civillian project that accurate flights data will be released. TV is slightly more reliable as they didnot say some exact figure but over 500 flight. which is more closer to reality as this thing need to go into pre production phase next year.

who knows they may be understating flights since begining. 100 test flight may been 200 test flight in reality. the point is you cannot rely on public information.

Not sure if you’ve noticed, but America hates Iran a lot more than it likes anyone else in the region. The fish that got away and all that…

This is extremely poor approach to fight Iran. see this Iraq support.

Russia bargaining with Israel keep West away for two years from this conflict. now things are at boiling point.

I think Obama is now afraid that all these islamists will destablized there own governments in anger for not doing enough.

Egypt/Saudi/Turkey have very large airforces. why dont they enforce no fly zone?

I know those pix. THere is no real MIG-35 in that. It is the old MIG-29M with RD-33 series 3 engines. Only the MIG-29K with RD-33MK is the new built airframes and they different in every thing.

Considering i have yet to see A.F to release piece of information that is not accurate, or you to make a magazine about aviation in Russia, i take A.F any day. As to that “example” i won’t even bother answering that.

There is alot of accurate and inaccurate stuff. but show me example of accurate.

PS: I have been providing data why i think it is not 500 flights, not to mention the obvious one that the statement was made by same people that said T-50 was 500km/h faster than F-22! It should be nuff said at that point.

Your not providing any data. rather the same public information that is released like public announcements of 100 flight and 200 flight dates. It does not mean they are accurate.

Those who think 500 flights figure is real have only “proven” it being so with speculation; they have three frame available, surely it is not impossible! Yeah, that convinced me right there. I call this Bill O’Reilly method, trusting on “gut feeling” instead of facts. And btw, Bill O’reilly is an idiot. ๐Ÿ™‚

According to Putin more than 2000 flights are needed for certification. I will let you do the math as it is 2013.

Because i know.

how do you know flight status release to public is even accurate?. or even the specification released. for example Export Su-35 could have 18 tons weight while domesitc could have 16 tons. with 5G fighters there are much more unknowns.

And most importantly:

If you think that T-50-1, -3 and -4 has done more than 300 flights since then, you are free to believe so…

As to the speed, it is well known F-22 is a beast at top speed judging by Paul Metz’s comments. If you think PAK FA is about as fast as MiG-31, again you are free to believe that. ๐Ÿ™‚

surely they could have done it.

There are interests at stake. The interest is to bleed Iran, and the best way to do this is by prolonging the conflict indefinitely, by providing assistance to the side that seems to be on the ropes at the moment. Why do you think these revelations are coming out just now?

just like Brazil fighter procurement and 4th largest economy its faulty assumption. why would this conflict bleed Iran?.
This conflict is making millions of refugees for Jordan/Turkey. Jordan King (country lacks in water) will need even greater hand outs from Saudis to take care of them as they belong to same religious group. similar thing is happening to Turkey. the country is destablized between two extremes. It will need its own bailout from same Arabs. The cost to Arabs for supporting such conflict is many times more. internal societies are torn apart by this conflict of all arab countries.

… hardly surprising when comparing a single-seater with a twin-seater. However that does not a fundamentally unrelated plane make.

Look again its a single seater comparision only.

That’s the question they have to answer themselves. I think the main goal is probably technology transfer and industrial development as given current and probable future threat levels, Brazil’s F-5s are quite sufficient for the next 20 years.

Ask Rii for Rafale instead of F-18. Next 20 years Brazil will be more import depended country. It will have to surrender soverignity.

I’d sooner trust World Bank stats than vague statements made by people posting on an internet forum.

You also forget USA has a large immigration intake.

US has very low birth rate in 21st century and still it reach that point.

General forecasts I’ve seen since 1990s when I was at Uni have generally been accurate, especially regarding increase in global power of China, India and decline of West. Brazil was mentioned as a rising power especially once Mercosur came on line.

West is very broad term. I would say any country with reasonably real high per capita is considered West. I dont considered country dependence on foreign loans, expertize, investment, resources as some kind of rise. Brazil is in no position to exercise influence over France by buying Rafale. so whats the point of buying expensive.

Load of tosh.

Look at World Bank stats:

Population Growth: 0.90%
Birth rate per 1,000: 15 (Australia is 13)
Death rate per 1,000: 6 (Australia is 7)

why would you rely on world banks statistic which is also depended on unreliable 3rd world data. US had 200 million population in 1990. It is now 330m. Brazil had 37 years to go.

JSR you state ” no one can rely on their statistics” yet then just spout some yahoo news story?

i didnot link yahoo story for GDP. it is regarding declining popularity survey desipite distributing walfare. Real GDP is much lower than what statistics is showing. how much lower it is difficult to estimate.

Sheesh.

The IMF/World Bank/Merill Lynch/United Nations etc forecasts are based on long term forecasts and data. There are blips in the forecasts (one year GDP goes up and maybe next year it goes down) but overall the forecast remains.

After all the forecast is dealing with 20-50 years and not 1-2 years.

Those forecasts have consistenly proven wrong except for one odd ball years and that entirely due to debt created GDP or raw material sale to China.
Complete dependence on US dollar from loans to foreign expertize/machinery. costs linked to dollar.

http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20130607-709092.html
RIO DE JANEIRO–Recent weakness in Brazil’s currency is raising alarm bells at state-run energy company Petroleo Brasileiro (PBR, PETR4.BR), or Petrobras, because of the firm’s heavy dollar-denominated debt load, the company’s chief executive said Friday.

As for population growth rates, these are also relatively easily obtainable as most countries keep registers of these things, especially a relatively advanced country ala Brazil.

Globally population growth is slowing down in a lot of developing countries. The problem is places like India, Middle East and SubSaharan Africa where population growth is high and in some instances out of control (e.g. average of 6 children per couple in some African countries)

Brazil still developing country. Those who have 6 children also have low life expectancy on avg. so the total population dont increase that much.

Below are links to the reports I am using. Both contain appendices on the methods and models employed.

PwC – The World in 2050 (Jan 2013)
GS – The BRICs 10 Years On (Dec 2011)

The following table is from the GS report and shows the kinds of growth rates being envisioned in these projections, which is both useful for our discussion, and as a corrective to those who think that these kinds of projections involve extending current growth rates indefinitely into the future!

By the way, most population projections for Brazil have the nation peaking at under 250m people.

This is extremely faulty graph. It has no relationship with reality. Brazil will be lucky to find money for its Olympics. so untill 2020 practically no major procurement. after 2020 it will be in trade deficits which already happening. Instead of wasting money on KC-390 with practically no real market and very little contribution. it should try to save Embarer Civillian side. It is airframer with 15% contribution. Most of Brazil populations estimates are highly unreliable. It is extremely poorly managed economic. They dont even know where to invest and which scientific are to target.
most of rosy predictions are already proven false. No one can rely on there statistics.

They are not my projections but those of Goldman Sachs and PwC, both of which in their latest projections (dated 2011 and 2013 respectively) have Brazil settling in as the world’s fourth largest economy by 2050.

I am not sure where they getting these forecasts. Brazil is medicore non scientific economy that is trade deficit despite all the natural resources.
in 2050 all those natural resources will be done. and there will be 500 million people. so what will those people do without natural resources?. Even if there is some natural resources left. It wont be cheap to transport considering fuel costs for ships in 2050. There is no land bridge to population centers of Asia/Middleast.

see this example.

You say some things that seem very bizarre to me. Please explain why you think Peugeot/Citroen group has to lay off labour so much. Please explain how that is an illustration of France sacrificing its autonomy. Please explain how Rafale is not so much French. Your statements sound very inaccurate to me.

very inaccurate. when you dont home work.

Citing you very own reliable sources (wikipedia, higly reliable)

No comment, grow up.

what it has to do with anything. It will certainly take more time to develop Mistral class by its own. considering RR engines. It is the large engine reliablity without nuclear power. but it does not mean France is going to produce to quickly. First one after three years after signing the contract. than it will need sea trial and integration of Russian systems. So give 2 or three years more. so it is 6 years at most. Do you even realize that Russian practically abondoned the following two. Once you sign the contract and get design documentation than it is not so much advanced as it is believed in the begining. as I said i said French technology can easily be replicated. when ever there is deal with French. there is element of corruption. but Russia minimized to great extent.

http://barentsobserver.com/en/security/2013/01/russian-defense-officials-criticizing-mistral-contract-28-01
Kharchenko said the ships must now be completed, otherwise Russia โ€œwould lose moreโ€ if the country backtracks the deal. Another contract for two other Mistral vessels was under discussion, but has been postponed.
