im missing the first 4 as i didn’t attend then and then 2003 have certainly seen some unique aircraft and formations. I miss the Bretling fighters though
I have these programes and lots of others from shows spanning back to early 80’s. Am I allowed to say when these will be appearing on ebay on this forum or is that not allowed.
Very well done mate, thanks for sharing your hard work with us.

Delay in VC10 Retirement
I was talking to a guy based at Brize and the retirment has been put back and the Tristars might be getting a update.
acording to him the Airbus is a load of crap and far from ready, hence the delay in the retirment.
If you look at the latest news threads on RIAT 2103 the quote the following RAF communication;
“The RAF’s Air Command said it hoped to send a flying VC-10 transport aircraft and TriStar air-to-air tanker plus a C-17, A330 ‘Voyager’ and C-130J/K Hercules for either the flying display or static park.”
I attended RIAT last year and one of the flypasts was “the last time the VC10 shall grace a RIAT display”
looks like your information is correct……
Yes, I do still attend the shows. THis years Legends was one of the best i’ve bben to for a while. Will post a couple of shots when I am brave enough. Very good forum for discussions and answers to members questions. there are some very clued up people out there.
During the summer they sore through the clouds and delight the crowds. But like wasps they disappear in the winter. This is where they go 🙂
Duxford November 2012
I worked as a volunteer at Duxford for over 15 years. I worked full time and then chose to do one Sunday a month up at the airfield. I officially worked for the imperial war museum on all their static airframes. As another member correctly quoted that not enough people ever work there I was very fortunate to be loaned to flying groups as and when required. I was unpaid for the entire duration of my time at Duxford and travelled totaling a 200 mile round trip each time i attended. My reward was to be allowed into airshows for free which also included my family. towards the end this was stopped and it did sour my enthusiasm but I carried on until childred came and my time was required at home. Happy memories non the less.
