..and surely as said aboe tourism… i weekend flight from Northern airports such as Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool may save a 7 hour drive – if the price is right the same connections will appear as have to Jersey on a Sat/Sun from throughout the country. Even Exeter could do that i’m sure!

    hi all,

ah my passion.. flight simming, an addiction!!

Usually the sun runs – Caneries, Balerics, Spain, Greece for me, although on one giddy day i did do the Seyshells, and Narita about 3 years bak. My total hours currently amount to around 1,250. Shortly to fly LEBL-EGNM.

Does anyone else on here use VATSIM? Anyone fly for a VA?

For those who don’t know VATSIM is the Virtual Air Trafiic SIMulation network, basically a huge m/p game with other traffic and ATC. I’ve seen 600 a/c + ATC be online before with no events been held

Sabb, have you tried Aurigny VA? – based on the RW ops of Aurigny?

I’m currently staff with White Rose VA, http://www.whiteroseva.com who mirror the RW ops of bmi, jet2, Mytravel, Eastern and BY out of a Leeds/Bradford hub, which standardises our fleet to JS41, E145, B733, B752 and B762. Hopefully i can get some of you interested in either vatsim http://www.vatsim.net or a VA – its great!

i can see the above points, but if it’s benificial to the community to have air travel then why can’t it be subsidised by the government like other forms of travel, e.g. rural bus links etc.

A nations flag carrier that HUBS at LHR and LGW – where else really has that level of presence? Manchester has several routes, but otherds like EDI and GLA aren’t all non-stop routes.

Birmingham has DUO on behalf of BA, and Bristol, Aberdeen etc, have limited services

What about Leeds, Cardiff, Guernsey, Norwich, East Mids, Southampton, Humberside, Teeside, Liverpool etc? If Plymouth/Newquay aren’t profitable howsabout Barra and other Orkney/ Outer hebrides runs? are they not?

Entertaining I am sure, but NOT a documentary.

i’ve always said since after the 2nd series on easyjet the programme has gone bland and lack entertainment value. Its the same pax argues with check in agent for 50% or airtime.

Bring back the good old BY days – one series with them was more entertaining than most of the easyjet sagas – perhaps a change of airline could be in order?

i’ve seen a lot of pics with the smokey tristar start-ups – why was this a/c so prone to them over others?
