The aircraft crashed after entering a zero G spin. The Captain was allowing his 15-year-old son to fly the airplane when the boy applied full deflection to the yoke, causing the autopilot to disengage and the aircraft to roll nearly 90°. The First Officer then pulled back on his yoke to attempt recovery, but the aircraft stalled and entered a spin from which recovery was not possible.

Well at places like Leeds Airtours base an Aircraft and this is usually only nightstopping for 3 or 4 hours in summer max, but in winter these flights could be great revinue earners.

For example here at Leeds the 757 might fly at 6.30am to somewhere like Lanzorote/Tenerife Sud/Gran Caneria, and b bak in the UK at 5pm, then do a short Gerona Sector before parking up for the night at 9.30pm. In this 9 hour gap the aircraft could do another sector on the Low cost operation to the Med, Caneries or the Greek Isles – it would prob make financial sense and there would be no night time movements probs on the UK side at least!

As i was saying about sheffield we at Leeds have just had an announcement of a new route by BA Citihopper to Bristol from August – one of only 2 new routes announced!!!
