This has been a very interesting restoration to follow , all the more so because of the detailed reporting by Tom . Is there any news of the other Twin Mustang being restored to flight ?

85 Sqn used the code letters NO and they had Hurricanes at the time in question .

Possibly an 85 Sqn aircraft .

I am of the same opinion , however , in the opening page there are three pictures of odd sheds and one has three gun turrets on its roof .

I am sure I read somewhere that this was attempted with fatal results in a Spitfire . I am not saying it was not achieved successfully several times , but on this occasion not so . I think this was an American pilot .

I also found the press release a thinly veiled accusation and thin on information too , were the items identified as missing before they went on the truck or on arrival at their destination , did they fall of the back of the truck ? From the lack of information it could be easy to assume any of the three parties involved were responsible , two are antagonistic towards one another and the third could have been lazy or in a hurry and not tied everything securely . But without knowing who signed for what , where and when , the finger should not be pointed at anyone .
