This could be the time for the film makers of the modern day with all the special effects and cga available, to remake this mission as realistic as possible showing the true horror of war. The opening sequence of saving private Ryan always springs to mind.As for remaking classic war films, yes remake them all, if they spoil it they cannot take the originals away from me.

Christ, what’s happening in the world, bring back the fifties whan we all lived in Pleasantville

Is that the very fifties were people had nothing to nick or the local area was run by the mob so any robber had to get permission from mr kray or richardson and pay a kick back. 😀
Drugs i think are the real reason they even try to get in to our houses, it must be, for any sane person would not take the risk of some one or a dog being home.
Thanks for your sympathy flag officer ,he must have subdued him as a garden spade was found in the bedroom, but bless him when he came around he took the fight back to him on the landing ,before the cu de gra.
I remember a story that a friend related to me,
A chap returned home early from a night shift ,to find a burglar helping him self to his valuables. To cut a long story short he spent several hours alone with the offender and undercover of darkness, he deposited the now very bruised man over a small hedge ,several streets away. The police were called as the owner of the hedge recognised him.he was charged with assault and said he would do it all again, nice.
