J-20 Flight-log (until 13 May):

1. 11. January – 12:50 to 13:08 (18 minutes)
2. 17. April – 16:25 to 17:50 (1 hour 25 minutes)
3. 5. May – 15:30 to 16:24 (55 minutes) – first flight with landing gear up
4. 5. May – 17:50 to 18:47 PM (57 minutes)
5. 12. May – ? minutes

Any more info from You ??

For crying out loud, the Su-33 got upgraded last year!:mad:

Hmmm but I think like Flanker-man said that “upgrade” was – to be honest – just a very moderate one , not even reaching the SM-standard.

As such – if – the J-15 will be mature and its avionics is really based on the J-11B … I would deem it better equipped than the Su-33.

Besides that can anyone help to summarize the dates & duration of the individual flights ??

As far as I know:

1. 11. January – ?? h ? min
2. 17. April – ?? h ? min
3. 5. May – 3:30 to 4:24 PM (55 minutes) – first flight with gears up
4. 5. May – 5:50 to 6:47 PM (57 minutes)
5. 12. May – ?? h ? min

Maybe we can add this here as a regular flight-log !

YES indeed … quite interesting this was today the fifth flight … with 3 months break between the first two and now three more – two on one day – within a few days.

UPDATE: Crisis averted! I am reliably informed the T-50 prototype will make an appearance at the MAKS air show in August. The aircraft has been noticed in advertisements for MAKS under the slogan “every time a premier”, implying the T-50 will be this year’s star attraction.

I haven’t been following the news lately, can anyone explain what’s the difference between Su-35BM and Su-35S? And what does “S” stand for?

As far as I know simply there is no Su-35BM … it was called originally the Su-27BM (following the SM as a big modernisation) and was later redesignated Su-35 … the Su-35S is now simply the serial version.

No, never ever … since never a Chinese fighter had a bay these are surely only faked lines made by Photoshop ! :diablo:

There WAS a navalized J-11 by SAC.
that navalized J-11 is absolutely not the J-15 that we see today.

That again sounds mysterious and more than interesting !

Do You have any info on this “navalized J-11 by SAC” ? Was it an indigenious approach to develop a carrier capable version out of the Flanker before a T-10K was obtained via Ukraina ?? .. or was it a “navalized J-11” based on the original J-11 ? :diablo:
