Ohh … again learnt something new ! 😮

But regarding the CH-1 … I always thought this is also known as the WZ-5 (WuZhen-5) and was based on the AQM-34N Firebee. ??!!

First of all ! THANKs a lot … and second, I’m once again surprised since that’s the first time I’ve heard about this project.

Regarding the name written on the sides … I have to admit, I can’t read Chinese and regarding Your question, I was told that this pictures shows the J-7 and J-8 in Nanjing.

Why do You thnk this to be in Nanchang ??? … was it a project run by Nanchang and do You have more information about it (time. specifications, powerplant, launch aircraft (Y-8 ??) … anything You know)

Nice to notice that they are so quick with additional testing … another proof in the confidence to that design.

Besides that – since I lost a bit the current overview – is there a source/link where the current status of the flight testing is summarized (how many flights, flying hours, reached test objectives and so on) ??

Just another thing, if I read that contract correctly, then the first 18 KS-46A should be delivered by 2017:eek: … is this possible in mind of all the necessary modifications from the current KC-767 to the KC-46 ? :confused:

And besides that we should take this discussion on “better”, “more affordable”, “the plane the AF wanted” & “the plane politics decided” simply and ended.
