Chile’s Minister of National Defense, Mr. Jaime Ravinet, joined other Chilean and U.S. officials Apr. 14 in celebrating completion of the first F-16 produced for the Chilean Air Force, or Fuerza Aerea de Chile (FACH).
Thanks a lot to all for this very informative tread !!! … but all I miss are pictures !!
Here are two of the first German Airforce single seater 30+09 during a training flight at Manching airbase (the pictures are taken by “MUC Dispatcher” from the FlugzeugForum !)
Not everyone here has a Trumpeter kit so don’t keep pegging the question.
Sorry that my many posts made You angry and I asure You that I didn’t expect that anyone else is as much enthusiastic about this kit as I, nor that everyone has a kit …. but I asked several times just to compare the dimensions I know so far (span = 8,78 m/ length = 14,57 m) and which I mentioned also at least 2-times … with the dimensions of the kit !
Trumpeter “modeled” the length in 1/72 to 225 mm = 16,20 m
and the wingspan in 1/72 again to 130 mm = 9,36 m !!!
I agree with GoldenDragon – thanks a lot for Your analysis – that the kit seems to look quite well done but just in comparison with these dimensions it seems to be larger than expected …. or the dimensions we know so far are plain wrong !
For my opinion I thought the J-10A was much bigger than this Lavi-style 8,78 m/14,57 m !
So, Sorry again, but I hope I made made intention a little bit more claer !

Just posted at CDF by Xinhui !
And please give me a comment on the J-10A’s dimension in comparison to the Trumpeter’s kit !!!! PLEASE
Deino
Has anyone noticed the small changes on the J-10A during it’s development ???
1. the small spine was lenghtened ! On the prototypes it is just from the tail to the small antenna in the middle of the back β¦ later itβs full length from the cockpit to the tail !
2. the front gear doors were first two-parts and on the latest pictures (aircraft no. 21) itβs three-parts
Does anyone know some more differences to be known for the Trumpeter kit ??
Deino
isnt that the ‘balancing beam’ on top?
Seems so !!!!
By the way back to Β΄my “old” question regarding the Trumpeter kit’s dimensions …. PLEASE !!!
Deino

PS:
HT has updated his site…..XXJ section….

Could it be that the air intakes were changed since the last picture ???? … seem to be one on each side !!?!
Any comments, Deino
I still can’t find this J-10A kit from Trumpeter in Hong Kong now. Maybe u can only order it online? And i wonder how much it’s gonna cost me? Around 10 US is reasonable.
Here in Germany You won’t find one too … I got mine via HobbyLink Japan !
Some more parts, PL-8, PL-10, …
some fuselage, wings, … details !
now these are some detail shots from the kit !
By the way … this is the boxart, the decals ond the two possible versions: Prototype 1006 und 1013 !

If You like … but I will start a seperate tread !
Hope You could help me with the deatails … !
Just one note regarding the modeling dimensions !
Trumpeter “modeled” the length in 1/72 to 225 mm = 16,20 m
and the wingspan in 1/72 again to 130 mm = 9,36 m !!!

Just got the new Trumpeter kit of the J-10A …. who want to take a look here’s a complete review (in German) !
http://www.flugzeugforum.de/forum/showthread.php?t=22182&page=1&pp=10
But that was not the reason for posting here. I ended my review with a comparison to the new Revell made Eurofighter Typhoon kit in the same scale:
Just take a look …. π …. and I hope these notorious “it is just like a Lavi”-discussions will end !
Cheers, Deino π
