You seem to be labouring under the misapprehension that all Vintage aircraft preservation must involve flight.
It cannot and does not – Please try to embrace all the different ways that we try to look after our heritage; it is not all about getting kicks at airshows.

Yes I realize that I’m not stupid I understand some. Can’t be. Made airworthy and keep them to keep the nations heratage such the Dutch and raf museum
But crashes are a danger if you own aircraft he has a lovely collection but It would be nice to see them out And about once in a while
I;m not aware of him “killing” anything. Certainly he has a better safety record than many operators….look at recent UK losses. Or even the sad loss of the Mosquito in the 90s.
You have to give the guy credit, be bought UK aircraft when no one in the UK wanted them…
Without him, the Shorts flying boat may not be around today….and he’s given his Mosquito as good a home as most in the UK would.
If someone wanted his Mossie as a flier, it would be in the UK fying now.
That Jerry Yeagan is having one built to fly while no one in the UK is, points to the sad conclusion that no one in the UK wants one that badly.
Ok maybe killing is a little harsh but he rarely flies his collection of aircraft such as the mossie and I think the C47 from Kemble went there and thats been grounded
How do you mean ?
A bit harsh…
A bit harsh but true mate
The closes to see a mossie flying the is the mossie replica from France at the moment I think they should ask de havilland museum or right Kermit weeks he just kills planes better have the mossie away from his collection
May or the red bulls in Austria a Connie would complement there dc6 quiet well 🙂
Oh right my mistake but I hope it fly soon it would be awesome at legends 🙂
But the delerlict Connie’s in Pima sone are luckily being safed by company’s such as Lufthansa
thanks chaps i just hate seeing amazing aircraft grounded such the connie if they don’t have the money to mantain it sell it to somone how has 😡
Are they still trying to make it airworthy ?
Here could be possible airframes such as the silver one in Oshkosh museum
I’ve just spoke to the guys who are doing the restoration there looking for a suitable airframe to airworthiness 🙂
Is that the spit from cottsermore (dodgy spelling) that’s in the bbmf at the moment ?
What is the status of the Blenhiem with the mark 1 nose on it ?
