Howard – not saying anything and then telling us its staying in the U.K is rather akin to a Dads Army sketch !

    Howard,

You have already said something – simple rule in this game. If someone tells you something, always assume it is in confidence, and dont even refer to it anywhere else. Lots of things go on in the historic aviation world (as in most others) that you will never hear about here or anywhere else. Knowledge isnt power – its just knowledge; keep it to yourself, and dont try and be clever.

    Bruce

Ok thanks for the advice Bruce!

And the winner of the willy waving contest is……. drum rolllllllllllll…………

    Howard 500!

I really don’t understand what all the fuss is about. IWM are disposing of some airframes. Why do we have any right or expectation that the IWM should consult with the ‘enthusiast’ at large, or in some cases the large enthusiast, about which airframes they are parting with or their eventual destinations until such time as they desire to? It really is none of our business until IWM and the parties they are negotiating contracts with decide it is our business.

A lot of people know the destinations of some or all of the airframes being disposed of, just as Howard 500 claims to. It’s just that they don’t need to declare to the world at large that they are privvy to information not yet in the public domain.

All a bit pathetic really isn’t it Howard?

    Regards,

    kev35

I would tell you all but I’m under strict instruction not to say anything until its announced but I can tell you she’s staying in the UK!
