As has already been posted, there is far more available to watch and a lot of ways to watch it, during Dad’s Army days you either watched it when it was on or you didn’t, since then we’ve had videos and now hard drives to record series or online catch up services to watch on the media platform of your choice when it suits you so actual Barb figures aren’t so accurate now as they used to be unless other methods are factored in for live viewing. We probably watch half of stuff on the TV and the rest on phones, computers or laptops and have a Barb box to record what is watched on the tv (normally preschool stuff).

Combined with the much wider range of stuff available and a straight comparison of viewing figures won’t give you an accurate comparison.

There is still quality programmes produced, just due to the volume of rubbish much harder to find.

From what I’ve seen of the soaps they get more dire and turgid with every passing week. But BBC4 has produced some great documentaries recently which are up to the same standard. Also the US has produced some really good stuff in recent years, BSG and Game of Thrones are two examples of shows I’ve enjoyed.

Still love the Goon shows which are repeated and are unlikely to ever be topped.

Love the views from the far end without the crowd in, glad you had a great weekend.

Lots of car alarms going off is always a good sign, will sort some photos out at some point once the DIY is done today.

Great surprise wasn’t expecting to see a SHar FA2 or the new Jag, both look great! And the sun is out

At Welford Road it was rather soggy, despite the promise of no showers, hope tomorrow is a bit better.

Bad news is that the forecast for this weekend is cold, windy (good so far) but dry for the Saturday and Sunday.

I’ll be over for some tea!

Could always get a couple of Victors up to escort the Vulcan, shame we haven’t got any Harriers left though.:diablo:

A slightly more elevated view of the aircraft from the usual shot, even if it is only a couple of feet?

    Because they can?

There were much larger crowds anticipated?

You can never be too prepared!

Don’t need to grow anything just don’t wash for a few months and you’ll get the job.

Woe betide any one who brakes these rules, have there any games prior to this with such heavy enforcement of rules and protection of corporate sponsors.

With the way it is unintentionally being marketed right from the farce with the tickets and those like Chris Hoy who won’t be able to get tickets for his parents and his wife (maximum of two per athlete) to the photo ban attempt it has put me right off and I’ll be glad when the whole thing is over and we can get back to normal.
