Speed limits on roadworks that the signs claim are there to protect the workers but it is 10pm on a Sunday and there is no other traffic on the road or signs of life, still the variable speed limit cameras though.
Oh and students.
Victor, Valiant, Vulcan
Sterling, Halifax, Lancaster
Blenhiem, Beaufighter, Mossie
Hurri Bomber, Typhoon, Thunderbolt
And that is only because farnboroughrob is being greedy
There were a lot of Welkins built otherwise I’d agree with you.
I’d have loved to have seen this little beaut go into production
Could have done away with the Defiant then!!!
Great set of photos, horrible site interface though but I can live with that.
I’ve been trying to think of an analogy for the BBC coverage next year. It will be like buying a new Stephen King novel, and when you read it, finding that every other chapter has been replaced with a brief summary.
Richard
One I used elsewhere is that next season will be like only watching The Phantom Menace and Return of the Jedi and then trying to understand Star Wars

What about stuff during the very early days of military aviation, only period I can think of that may have covered this but was the AW.52 actually used for military evaluation or just as an experimental type?
I know that it’s not going to happen but this is better than nothing, wonder if they’d care to ship some to brunty so we can watch them run?
Some nice CGI stuff there with the AW variants and the AW49 is very nice, reminds me of the SAAB J-21A.
And yes the AW.52G was rather modest but interesting none the less.
Thanks for the info Pagen01 now to track down a copy of the article…
You’ll still be able to see half the races live, and the highlights, which, taking into account the number of ad breaks on Sky amounts to the same thing anyway. You’ll still see a fair bit of F1. And as Moggy says, what about the poor, disenfranchised bog snorkelling Morris Dancers?

The real issue is that this is the thin end of the wedge, it has happened in other sports where sky promise to only show some but then end up showing all of the sport so it is no longer available, happens with other shows as well.
Still if it was ok to phone hack then sky won’t mind if people use p2p live streaming instead, it’s only a little bit illegal after all.

Part of the freeze on the license fee which is causing the cost saving exercises is due to the slow but constant criticism of the BBC method of neutral reporting and state funding by the Murdoch run press which has been believed by subsequent governments without a full and impartial study into the implications in having the US method of news reporting with full political bias on the right.
The BBC certainly does more than other channels for attempting to cater to everyone even the Bog Snorkelling fraternity (probably) and whilst I am personally already fed up of the olympics being rammed down my throat I can see that it is something the BBC does well. It is just a shame that one sport in which the coverage has gone from good to outstanding for the fans of it since returning to the BBC is going the same way as others. The coverage of rugby for example is dire at best on Sky from what I have seen, the 6 Nations coverage is great, even ITV do a half decent job of it and I expect the same during the world cup later this year, even new boys to rugby ESPN do a much better job and I’m not just saying that as there are Leicester old boys fronting it.
Regarding the license fee price, I honestly don’t know what we’re paying at the moment for our fee, it’s a monthly dd and I don’t know the details of what it would cost to get the full Sky sports package for all their channels but would need to weigh it all up before commenting, I do however know that the price I pay for the BBC is more than worth it with the majority of shows I watch or listen to being on that channel.

Still think the Harrier had the right idea…stop then land. And there is something to be said for the old warbirds which rarely had this issue
Blimey, they’ve seized a Nimrod, what were the criminals using that for? Wonder what else has been taken, a Bucc or three perhaps?
