After all these years you would have thought some people would have learnt to respect these aircraft instead of scrawling their names! 😀

Seriously though a very nice touch and the one question I have over situations such as this where aircraft are signed, how are these signatures preserved during the inevitable respray that the aircraft will one day have?

No idea of the retail value but historically they look like a fascinating set of documents and photos

A few years ago I asked, it was a few months later that I had planned to propose to the better half so for about 4 months I kept getting asked ‘have you asked her yet?’

However it is something that doesn’t happen anywhere near as often as it used to and the gesture was very much appreciated by him. It actually improved our relationship until the granddaughter came along and now we get ignored!

Certainly it has been commented on, especially when it was compared to sister in law and her now husband who just dropped round and announced their engagement.

Every situation is different and all I can do is relate my own experiences on the matter.

Good luck what ever you decide.

Now the full story has come to light and certainly if he was threatened with a machete then it was self defence and a relief that common sense has prevailed.

Sadly I doubt this will be the last such case but it would be nice to dream that this sends out a message to those contemplating committing crimes.

It is the lack of research and the general knowledge that anything multiple engines is a Lanc and single engine has to be a Spitfire, regardless of what it actually is, hence the reference to the Hurricane as a Spitfire an ignorance displayed in the research.

Dave, the wasp is on both sides, incidentally the stripes on the wasp are supposed to represent each enemy a/c downed.
