well anyway Cyprus has no defence plans I think, at least for major weapon systems like fighters or vessels etc. The money spent for weapons are too little especialy since it became an EU member. The “golden era” when T-80U, Mi-35, BMP-3, S-300PMU-1 has passed, possibly for ever…

Are the 50+10 F16 blk52+ equiped with Link16?

No they don’t! only the new 30 will. Anyway, I think there are some thoughts of integrating link16 to those also…

F-4E AUP is a very capable aircraft. There are only 35. AIM-120B, IRIS-T, Litening II ,Paveways, Maverick, AFDS and the new stand off weapons (Spice, Longshot) HAF plans to buy are going to increase it’s operational value. I think the great pull back for the programe was the denial of USA exporting the AGM-130 for use with Pantoms…

The problems with the EMB-145 continue and there are some thoughts not to accept them at all!!!!! I hope it is not again a matter of money for all these “problems” like with the M 2k-5s…… :confused:

Sad news! especialy when the certainly superior THK’s programe continues…

The ceremony of the rising of the flag for KRYSTALIDHS (P-69) which is the third “SUPER VITA” Class boat took place at the Eleusis Ship yards today (8 May 2006) on 12.00 (Gr Time).

well within some years from now thousands of F-16s all over the world are going to be for sale propably in very low prices. The same goes with MiG-29s, etc. So why bother with some low perfomance (de)modernizationed dinosaurs like F-5 or F-20 ?
