Would have been nice to see him walk around the real locations Biggin and Manston and even better in one of the two seat Spitfires (slightly more in keeping than with David Jason) No disrespect to DJ but an actual BOB pilot would seem more in keeping.

Totally agree, i can’t think of a better situation than Mr wellum standing on runway 11/29 at Biggin Hill while a Spitfire flys overhead and then going for a drink otr two in the Whitehart Brasted.
Great vid of them departing off of runway 11 Biggin Hill on sunday! They both got a massive round of applause when they came on stage at Chartwell.
G-BRVE landed at Biggin Hill this morming and then departed again a few hours later.
1230ish i think.
What was G-RADA is sitting at the back of one of the hangars at Biggin Hill and looks ok as it has been kept in the hangar out of the elements. Also Utva YU-DLG sits outside the same hangar.
(I think its Utva 66 or somthing along those lines)
I never made that mistake even with Airfix!
If i had not known about the planned flypast via various forums i too would have thought they were both Typoons as well. I was standing outside the hangar at Biggin looking towards the north to see if i could spot the formation when all of a sudden i could hear the sound of a Griffon and then, right over the hangar the formation flew, they then performed a few orbits above the airfield and one pass down runway 03.
A good start to what should be a great airfair week.
Hi Tony, it was the BBMF MK19 and a RAF Typoon with a FAF Rafale!
Doing a flypast over chelsea hospital i think.
Great vids, can’t wait to see the reds vid!
I have watched Nigel lamb fly into the valley in the past few years in MH434 but as you said it’s banned offically, but i have seen a few others use it in the past including the Breitling team and a Chinook.
Biggin 95 was my first Airfair that i actually went into and i can remember Noel Edmonds commentating on the Helifest part, also if i remember there was two Hinds at Biggin that year?
The two Spitfires going into the valley is just brilliant! Shame they don’t do the BofB airshow anymore.
Anyway thanks for posting the videos.
Dan Griffiths display in the Sprit of Kent was quite stunning, he showed the Spitfire in such a way that all of its profile’s were covered. His display is diiferent and i believe he is up there with the best, Ray Hanna and Nigel Lamb!
The one of Concorde is great, how that skyline has changed since 88 with new hangars etc.
Spitfire over Southend this afternoon could not make out what one, heading North to South
Kent Spit on route to Duxford from Biggin Hill around that time.
Give the £80 million to the BBMF!
Great to see more of Biggin Tony!
A few things that are different today i noticed are, the grass was left longer back then and the building in the shot with Concorde and the Reds is no longer there. The fence that is in the foreground of the shot of MH434 is also now gone.
Also did the BA tristar land? I don’t think it did?
