Hi Guys
I understand what you are saying about Waddington I was there too along with my mum who also only really went to see the Vulcan. The week after I went to Legends and their fleet was grounded do you not think somebody at CAA was trying to make a name for themselves. By the way I felt Legends was fantastic and managed to see 558 at Windermere which was also brilliant for me and mum!
Hope they make it despite the mistakes have none of us made them?
Regards
Jon
Hi guys
Not sure but saw 5101 on a lot of forms and seem to think it was the SENGO’s authority senior engineering officer like I say not sure but rings a bell.
Somebody will confirm or contradict as to ADA i’m stumped

Hi Adlertag
The 200k quoted is pledges on top of around 150k in actual cash donations adding up to the 350k of the 500k required to go forward.
When it became doubtful whether they would reach the target people understandably don’t want to throw cash at a dead horse so they said they would accept the pledges and if they reach 500k by next Sunday I understand they will carry on
Hope this clarifies

Absolutely right don’t believe for a minute they’re doing it for profit just that they can and it will be a lasting legacy hopefully long after they are gone to both themselves and their brother.
With low annual hours it may outlast PA474 is it to do with the main spar I remember 474 having the spar replaced at Coventry but that must be a few years ago now

I could easily fall into that band but i don’t believe you would enjoy its failure.
I was at Waddington but left home on the Friday knowing the Vulcan would not fly.It wasn’t a secret. I rang the mobile number on the website the day before Windermere and was answered straight away he was on his way to the lakes. No bull**** from the chap the engineers are down at Wellesbourne robbing a part if all goes well she’ll be there.
There are some brilliant people posting on here who would have made a massive profit through the recession and fly a Victor for a laugh.
You are in a lucky position to have a Vulcan to save

Marvellous
Hi WW11
My deepest commiserations with what has happened.Welcome to the forum please stay on here and you will get a good response from the guys on here.I personally have very little knowledge of the subject but there was a thread about this exact problem not so long ago.I wish you luck and can assure you will get a more informed respnse within the next hour or so.
Kind Regards
Jon

Hi guys
On SARWING Wessex the aircraft were washed and sprayed with PX24 every 3 days whether they had flown or not. Just for the coastal envoirenment if they had been winching from the sea I think it was after every flight

Pretty much the ultimate biplane. Was it as nice to fly as it looks
Ended up on its roof?
