Blair said this morning that there needs to be an international show of force by sending a stabilisation force to the region straight away!but what country would want to volunter 1000’s of troops to go into the middle of a warzone?is this what the talked about EU battlegroups could be useful for?

Israel lebannon situation!

Israel is looking pretty determined on getting its soldiers back by enforcing an air naval and land blockade of lebannon.as i type this right now Israeli warplanes are heading for Beruit as reported by a British news reporter who was on air just now and you could hear the jets overhead.also another reporter stated that Beruit airport is under fire from Israeli naval vessels and that they have destroyed oil storage tanks at the airport also!just how far will this go and will the UN step in to stop these attacks because it could cause a huge war in the region now that syria has started bad mouthing Israel again.

The AB139 is not the AW149. The AB139 has a MTOW of about 6t, the AW149 will have a MTOW of about 7.5 ts. The development is just starting for the AW149.

i am well aware of the what is what,but the aircorps is considering buying AW149s and if they do they will probably upgrade the AB139s to this standard,but thats what the aircorps are calling them!for now anyway!
