😀
Good shot Kevin…
Busiest i’ve seen the perimeter in a long time…..folk everywhere today.
Excellent set Rab! Don’t suppose you got up at 7am on friday morning to shoot my TCX B753 landing back from Kos??:D:D
I had a similar experience a couple of years ago flying from Dubai to Glasgow on Emirates, same call over the tannoy and a sick child was taken to the rear we diverted rapidly to Hamburg. Being a nosy…em interested aviation enthusiast i asked one of the stewards about the logistics of a medical diversion, he reckoned they had to pay landing fees and fuel and whenever possible would try to divert to an airport the airline operate from and had handling agents at, saying diverting to an airport that they had no handling contract caused problems arranging for the fees and fuel to be paid, obviously the urgency of the incident comes first in the decision where to divert.
Quite a regular thing for shuttle flights to be operated by 767/777s, once caught a 777 back to GLA simply cos the 757 was in a service.
Remember way back in the eighties seeing the shuttle arrive at GLA in the shape of Concorde a few times… THAT would have been a pleasant surprise for the pax!!
Very nice Robert! like the light on the EZY.
Ahh excellent set there esp. like the Jetstar..great light on that.
Coogee bayer eh? i stayed in Randwick and frequented the Coogee Bay hotel…. A LOT!! 😮
Excellent pics, no probs seeing them this end…very lucky
Great pics Rob….and big kudos points travelling all the way to EDI for a JAL!!!(You know they go into an airport just down the M4 from you:D:D)
The poor EDI spotters don’t get to see many widebodies there…explains the guy’s glee:diablo::diablo:
Nice pics Robert, seen it arriving could’nt be bothered heading down to shoot.
This was the second of 2 annual flights bringing Japanese tourists.(not sure if it was the return flight as it departed to Athens,or if there are still 2 due for the return)
As above,it is just a good place for them to daystop, also i believe are maintained by BMI…have seen them getting worked on in the hangar sometimes.
Tartan Pics, excellent pics, as a matter of interest where did you take them from? Was it the IKEA car park?
Cheers Allan
The 2 Flybe’s from the grass verge at Ikea, the Dornier and Embraer and ramp shots from Ikea car park and the Ryanair from the bridge at Sydenham station.
Thanks guys.
Yes good timing to catch the weekly Dolomiti flight….beats the constant procession of FlyBe’s.
Cheers.
Over working in Belfast today, took a couple of movies for the ferry with me on me laptop.. Watched the Karate Kid 2010…surprisingly good….they have changed “Wax on…. wax off…” to “Jacket on…Jacket off”:diablo: Predictable indeed but still enjoyable. Have a choice of The Crazies, The A-Team or Toy Story 4 for going back(Think The Crazies will win…wanna catch other 2 in cinema first.)
