Nice to see LHR from a new angle. But why do You use gif and not jpg?

That was an oversight in my part… i had’nt realised that Photoshop had changed itself to GIF for some reason, not until i tried uploadsing some other shots to JP:confused: Problem now rectified.:D

Have to say that is bang out of order £12 to park in a bit of dirt with 2 overcrowded undersized mounds and nowt else for your money really! If the operators are struggling why not get rid of the aircraft in the park (pointless IMO) and then reduce the price..how many MAN spotters pay even one bit of attention to the 146,trident and concorde.. they could stick them on the roof of the multi storey and charge anyone who wants to see them.. and return the viewing park to being a viewing park.

I believe a veiwng area will be set up on production of a spotters card after beong vetted. Nice one!

I would advise NOT hyolding breath for any good for the spotter to come out of this…
Unfortunately these “schemes” are always one way traffic.. the police realising that a spotters eyes are a handy tool to help them, and offering false promises of pushing for better spotters facilities. Same mince happened at GLA about 4 years waiting on the promised mound of dirt near the GAT.. in fact the only occurence at GLA has been the long established mound at 05 hold being fenced off.
Sorry to be a sour puss, just remember getting all excited myself after spotters meeting with the airport operators:mad:

Ooh rattled some nests there lads, take it easy.. just an observation… it LOOKS like a -100, IMO the 747 general shape is way out of date(50’s conception) Boeing should think outside the box a bit, like Airbus done with the A380:dev2:,design something that looks modern maybe?… flak jacket on………….

I believe the Lufty A340 was Bayern Munich’s transport for their game against United.

Ahh of course!! forgot about that… explains the extra activity up the mound. Cheers Dan 😀

A quick look at Vikings current fleet shows they have 2 X 738’s and 3 x 733’s (and a MD83) first timei have shot one…just happy to see a foreign airliner at GLA!!!:D getting rarer and rarer… I believe Viking will be filling (some of) the space left by Globespans collapse.

I only manage to get mine out 3 times a day, 4 at the most. It’s taking a while to build up any money! Been at it since this thread started (plus a couple of weeks as I started again) and I still only have 2 738s, 3 ATR 42s and 3 ATR 72s!

3 or 4 launches a day!! that’s more than i can manage, and am now at 8x 787’s 10xDC10-10’s and some others making 20-30 mil a day.
My advice…lose the 738’s get a 737-700ER fly it at max distance and avertise, or get yourself DC10-10’s far and away best money earner to build up your balance. I used DHC8-400s for local routes (at max range) they have a good return too. Once you get a couple of those DC10s going (1 can make 2 mil a day with 4 full range launches) you’ll see the money build rapidly, i was at 122 mil on sunday, and decided to get more DC10s and 787’s and am back up at 96 mil today.
