Excellent stuff Paul.. i see you are having the same Photobucket probs i am… am wondering if it is to do with the size?? I usually upload all shots 900×600,but recently have been resizing to 1200×800 and those ones don’t look as good as the originals:confused:
BTW been bugging me all week since the first post… “WAC”?? what does it stand for? (assuming the “C” can indeed be posted here;)) share share:D

Many lensmen working for the gutter press do just that – their ‘expensive’ long lens equipment is generally for the purpose of getting close to the subject. Their efforts are then processed on a laptop (in the car, or by the side of the road) before being transmitted over a mobile phone network to their respective pigsty or photo agency, usually with an incorrect caption!

Agreed Dave.. what a bleeding waste of good photographic equipment.. am thinking as you say the big lens gets them closer to the subject…. while remaining far enough away themselves for the inevitable thumping to be avoided!!:D

Nice pics there Scotty, and yeah, these puddles do get in the way and you just have to swerve through them rather than round them hehehe

Hehe Cheers Mark.. very true… don’t want to have to waste valuable tyre tread avoiding puddles unneccesarily :diablo:

    Cheers Paul.
Yes i agree, cam settings are untouched, think it may be something to do with Photobucket… after comparing these to the originals on my computer..those seem more ..normal.. strange.

    Scotty,
Are you the fella up on the mound who suggested to me we should put stairs in for the older fellas, I was the rotund chap wearing the Blue Berghaus jacket. If it was you it is nice to put a face to the name.
Nice selection of the days movements.

(just had a thought, if we had known one and other we could have stripped to the waist and debated this Lockerbie/release thing man to man) :):):):)

That was all that was of interest due so called it a day.. of note, At ingliston there is now a huge mound of stones/dirt dumped right at the most used link, where most shots were taken from. It offers a cracking view over the fence..Who knows how long it will be there but very handy nonetheless. Also, for any locals the USAF BBJ (or whatever they like to call them) is on Block 33 looking good for a night stop.
    Thanks for looking.

Watching the breathtaking hypocrisy of the US government condemning the Scottish Exec for releasing al-Megrahi.

The hardest evidence that convicted this man was an eye witness shopkeeper in Malta who could quite clearly remember this guy coming into his shop and buying articles of clothing, two years after the fact, the fact that he was paid several Million US$ probably helped jog his memory. All other evidence was best described as circumstantial.

This would be the same US citizens who shed not one tear for the 290 dead passengers and crew of the Iranian airliner the US Navy shot down, the airliner was flying within Iranian airspace legally, the US Ship was however Illegally in territorial waters, to date the US have never apologised for what they did, in fact the then President Bush Snr stated he “would never apologise for the United States”.

Sadly too many people look for revenge from a justice system and when they don’t get it, they remain unhappy. There was too little strong evidence to safely convict al-Megrahi, and Too many questions left unanswered to see a man jailed for life.

All fair points Drew, however, whether or not folk agree/disagree about his guilt.. he was convicted in a fair manner using the available evidence.. put simply he IS guilty, and should be left rotting in Greenock prison. But the weak idiots that claim to run Scotland decide to make a laughing stock of our justice system/country and release him to ..surprise.surprise a hero’s welcome!! Which “first minister” Alex Salmond finds “insensitive”!! What about his “governments” insensitivity towards the families of the 270 innocent souls his pal (and others) murdered?
I could’nt give a flying fig for Megrahi or his family, he should have been left to rot instead of the paltry 27 day per victim sentence “holiday” he was given. Myra Hindley never got a sniff of “compassion” when she was dying, as is the same story for thousands of others who die in prison:mad:John Gotti,Ronnie Kray,Milosevic,Walter Breen etc..
A shame that 90% of the world will now see Scotland as a buzz word for weak fools. Wrong, wrong, wrong!

Why does the A300-6 not have wing fences ?

It is one of the earlier built frames, the wingtip fences were introduced at some point after this one was built (sorry don’t know exactly which A300 was first???)

I wonder if John Smeaton was at the airport…:dev2:

Nah.. he would have been doing his best John Mclane impression from behind a bin, then have his face plastered all over the daily rags acting the “hero”:D

Thanks for the pics of this aircraft!

I am surprised that his ride home used GLA rather than PIK. I thought PIK handled all those special flights

Most high profile police operations in Strathclyde will use GLA. It just makes more sense,as the main high security police station is in Govan as are the traffic, bikes and special ops divisions. Also, a whole lot easier to run from Greenock to GLA than to PIK with a high security operation. PIK was used for the bulk of the G8 traffic a few years ago mainly because they basically had to have complete control over an airport, something that could not happen at a busy airport like GLA,EDI etc… not to mention the headache of handling so much extra traffic and parking them. GLA is used a lot for VIP flights including the recent Libyan bizjet to bring in their officials recently and various VIP royal flights.

Watching Super Kenny MacASSkill dish out good ol’ Scottish compassion to a guy who served 27 days for each victim he (and others) murdered in/over Lockerbie in 1988. Thank you Scottish Parliament for making our country look pathetically backward. How extra embarrassing to see the UK government run as fast as Bolt to distance themselves from this ridiculous decision by a worthless delusional “government”..”Nowt to do with us,mate” quite right too!
