The old and the new!!
That is my lot(unless i find some more stragglers!!) from an interesting but hard going trip. I would recommend visiting this region of our planet, great variety of aircraft and colours to be seen.
Thanks to all for looking. A few members have messaged me for tips/advice etc… I am more than happy to pass on what info i can to anyone thinking of heading to SE Asia.
Cheers.
Don Muaeng (an eerie place, massive airport with tons of piers/stands and only one pier in use.)
All shot through glass in the domestic departures area, using my “wee” lens 28-80mm
A couple of YS-11’s

The rest all shot from onboard my flight to Phuket…

Very interesting shot Si! well done with that.
Nice selection Rab.. Good to see a BA 767 in.
Were you still over around 1620? i saw a FlyBe dash 8 fly down along the River Clyde to Clydebank then do a hell of a tight base on to 23:eek: Just wondering if it had a problem, once saw one take off, declare an emergency immediately after t/o, done a real tight turn back onto 23… some sight:)
Thanks DJ and James
The 125 was a Northolt royal flight one, not sure who was on it,quite regular things here. The Grob is part of the University Air Squadron there are a few of them based here.

To answer your q… all really down to the Wonderful Wonderful Web!!
There are lots of great sites kicking around and awesome forums too, including right here on Key, got quite a bit of advice from members here, the Malaysian Wings forum is excellent for getting info in SE Asia and old favourites Airliners.net and JP.net-simply e-mailing potographers.Add all that to just having a sniff around the various airports… looking for free tourist maps that include the airports areas etc…
