Nice set Drew, the An225 had some sort of nose gear problem i believe.
Nice shot of the Falkirk Wheel too, nice lighting on that.
Good on you!! nice job. Maybe in a few years we will all be amazed at a header like “My first shot of an A380” hehe.
Thanks Jason, very kind of you to say so:o 😮
I tend to do a lot of travel by myself, just to avoid any arguing over where/when to go next etc… i like to be able to do what i want when i want hehe.
As for the cost, a breakdown looks like this
Flight GLA-HKG via DXB return with Emirates £520.
All the inter Asia flights were done on the various loco airlines, Cebu Pacific, Jetstar, Nok Air, One Two Go, Air asia etc…
Flights ranging from £21 to £85 all the Taiwan Domestic flights cost about £30 each, a flat fare system any route, any airline all the same price.
Had some difficulty booking some flights e.g Cebu Pacific do not accept non Phillippino credit cards!! (mental) a handy site for getting cheap fares is at http://www.alternative-airlines.com/ dearest flight was on Sri Lankan from BKK to HKG £103
I had initially booked hostels thru Hostelworld.com but some of the properties were not quite the ritz!! so, used http://www.hotelclub.com most hotels were about £20 per room per night for a 4 star hotel, and that was booking on the day of arrival, could probably be got cheaper booking in advance.
Day to day costs are stupidly low in most of SE Asia (Except the booze!!! ) you can easily get by on £10-15 a day, and transport around cities is extremely cheap too.
All in all i reckon i spent around £1500.
Thanks again for the kind comment, still a fair bit more shots to come when i can get round to it.
Brilliant again Si.
Love that AC A330:D
Hey James, no idea what it is possibly a Komodo Dragon, i was with another English photographer who first noticed this monster in the water heading towards us, the 2 of us made a sharp retreat as it got closer, looked about 3 feet long!! (Scary beastie!!)
Where abouts is this pic I cant see it?:o Some more great shots Scotty.

Nice couple of pics there Si.
Was passing Aldergrove myself on friday on way back from Dublin to Larne but, weather was standard mire:)
Great set Adam, like the Falcon, very nice.
Cheers Si
There was quite a few of them sitting at the mil base, they kept landing on the centre runway so never managed any decent shots of them. Kamikaze pilots though, i was impressed the driver got this on the deck,it was at a 90 degree angle to the runway at less than 2 miles out!!
Cheers Adam and Paul, never had any problems at Changi whatsoever.
Cheers Widdy, tell you what they are noisy little beggars, and lots of them in the trees.
More from Singapore on day 1:

Had planned on spending the next day at Changi Beach but the heaviest longest thunderstorm hit thru the night and remained all day, so, i shot a few from the terminal which will follow later.
Thanks for looking.
