Cheers for the comments lads.:)
T5 i fully agree with you, it is a vast, soulless place,as you say everything is so cheap, and a highly efficient airport,it does what it says on the tin!! Definitely better than navigating around the 3 terminals at Don Muang, it is really odd to taxi past all those a/c stands and piers lying vacant.
I never realised the death toll had risen, thanks.
Mark: Cheers hehe i am quite happy in cattle class, guess it’s what i’m used to, the budget has to come before comfort for me, however, very odd to see on the 2 EK flights from/to Glasgow the Biz section had every seat filled, and us poor minions in cattle had to make do with a full Y row each:D 😀 :dev2:
Cheers Josh: Well this was a very rare experience for me, only fair to share my experiences in the hope it may assist someone else, Will get on to the shots maybe tomorrow.
Paul: Cheers! yes the moving of the wreckage is a bit mental, but, there you go, as for the crash site, i only seen it on my first departure, just like a large rip in the side of the hill(an observation i noticed is the spot where it crashed is a long way before where i touched down both times, guessing it was very close to the ground before passing the piano keys, all landings i observed touching down about 1/4 of the way down the runway!)
Thanks again guys, a/c photos soon.:)
Nice set Drew, like the XL airbus, bit of an oddball movement that…
And the Air Asia must be following me around, i flew on it last month.
Thanks for the comments chaps 🙂
Nice wee set there, I’ve visited Coloummiers also on a work jolly, and Lyon many times, you can get great shots from the cargo area right by the TAT (AF Regional) hangar, and there is a “mound” way along at the hold for 18R.
Excellent Damian!
Very nice move the Saab!! What was that doing at PIK? bit of a trek in a Saab for crew training:dev2:

Excellent set Widdy, looks like a great weekend, i shot 777 I-DISA myself on sunday in Taiwan or somewhere, Looks a wee bit of heat haze about too, good stuff though.
Heyy ya big muppet, get yer bahooky back on here!! (i’m home in 2 weeks if you’re missing me that much!!!:diablo: )
Well done Josh, bloody hard work getting shots accepted there, so good on you (hopefully me too soon:o )
Nice shots Boabby, welcome to the forum 😀
This is a real tragedy, and, i think, i may have been granted a pardon, as i am in Asia just now (in Taipei at the minute), i reversed the order of my various trips, and was originally planning to be on OG269 on sunday, but, will now be flying the route in 10 days. Had several texts from back home asking if i was ok!!(at the time i had’nt heard about the tragedy) Guess someone is looking out for me!,I was in the departure lounge at Kinmen in Taiwan earlier today, and the TV news was showing footage and detailed analysis of the crash on a news channel repeatedly! Not the kind of TV i feel folks about to board a plane want to see?!?, from what i could understand they think it was a “micro storm” a very sudden and strong wind shear.
thanks for the comments chaps.
Just spent the whole day at HKG where it was all lovely and MISTY!!! (still shot over 300!!) good start to the mega tour! Manila tomorrow.
Excellent wee set there.
Any idea what the reg is??:dev2: :dev2: :dev2: 😮
Nice set Robert, was going to join the exodus east on sunday, but, the black clouds changed my mind for me.
Well done.
