Cheers Jamie.
Just found that out myself, and unfortunately Scottish summer time has returned ( Pouring down… sigh)
Smashin’ stuff Big Rab!
You must have been up yondy at the same time as me, i just decided to stay down by the flying club.
The ex BA Jungle jet is a stoater kid! Good work.
Tuesday and Weds at GLA been great weather for shooting.

Another FINALLY… getting my first shots of US Air 757W and in sun to boot..

and a first visit by Emirates latest delivery A6-ECA complete with new car smell!!
On to Today at GLA (had to make do with GLA and missed out on the 747LCF at Prestwick today………AGAIN!!)

Finally…. this wee birdie had a fight with an EZY A319, it was left wandering around in circles on the main runway, causing 2 go-arounds and 3 missed slots, it had a broken wing, and ops called for a man with a large gun to help it on its way… awww
Still going:
Gone!!
Thats all for this instalment…
….And a wee bit of sleuthing reveals it is SP-EKA (the give away being it is the only one in the fleet without web address titles under the cockpit….god i’m good 😀 😀 )
Trying to find out which one it was probably SP-FDR or S which are the most regular ones. By the way it is an AN26 not a 12 😀
Good shot too.
Nowt to do with poor loads. Its all down to GSM achieving the unachievable and screwing up their operations even worse than FlyBe have.
How anyone in their right mind can make a booking with either airline at the moment is beyond me. BA’s dreadful LHR operation shines in comparison!
Average of 26 pax per sector, all in cattle class, won’t help. However agree fully with your comments, except Flybe havent got a patch on GSM 😀 😀 🙁
Nice set, i too am visiting in September on my wee Asian tour. Never been to the new airport looking forward to it.
Manc: try this site: http://www.hkplanes.com/
Has all the gen on where to shoot etc…
Kansai is a must do!!
I done a tour of Japan a few years back and the spotting deck at KIX is just outstanding. However, only good for shooting in the late afternoon. also, well worth the visit is Tokyo Haneda just insane to visit an airport with 1 international route (Air China) or it was at the time, and see unbelievable amounts of 777 and 747 being used like buses 😀 and a great rooftop deck there also.
Itami is ok, but mostly small domestic stuff, like almost all Japan has a great observation deck on the terminal roof overlooking the 2 central piers and runway, not a terribly busy airport tho.. if i remember correctly it was good for getting YS-11’s
The following link is a great spotters site about Japan:

Cheers Tom… was being smart:p :p , meaning, the fact that i saw AA means they are still around after “disastrous” use of Airbus a/c hehe. (mind you… not that long ago AA were using A300’s to LHR)
The 757’s have been an absolute disaster, in fact one a/c done 2 emergency landings at Hamilton in a space of a few days. They have contributed to nearly all of the delays since they arrived. The John Lennon tail one is staying but the other 2 are offski, no idea where Zoom are getting the a/c from either, i suspect it may be their 757 that will be doing the resuscitation job??
GSM have also “sacked” Aviance handling at GLA in a very public way (deflection?? Shurely not) to go with a handling company called “Alba handling” (who??) The 2 Neos 767’s are performing fine, and will be returned at the end of the season with one of the old rattlers leased to Air India coming back to cover the MAN-CPT and GLA-SFB winter services (oh joy!)
can anyone name a large U.S. carrier that has ever ordered/operated large numbers of Airbus widebodies and not gone out of business?
American Airlines had A300’s… i am sure i seen AA recently at LHR 😮 (may be mistaken though) and Northwest (sure they still fly one or 2 flights into LGW,AMS etc… but i may be imagining that also:) ) What a silly thread
Ramp to pilot ” Adrian, it’s not too late for us…. pull me aboard, darling”:D
Decided to drag the rotten weather from England with me to Edinburgh this morning………..completely minging weather, made up for a bit by Atlant Soyuz Tu 154 hidden away

Thats yer lot now.
More from tropical Dublin…………

Finally the evil searing sun disappears beneath the wing of chariot EI-CTB
Thursday found me in London in terrible mire, so camera stayed in bag, then up to EMA weather only slightly better, so………..

Sorry for poor cluttered shots of the below, never heard of this airline “UK International” 767 G-CECU in an unshootable place

Then a wee bit further up the M1 found me at LBA, officially the worlds worst transport link connected major airport!!! someone really needs to build a motorway to it (leave that with you LBA chaps?? try have that sorted by my next visit probs around 4 months away?? cheers)
Mince mince weather, but, since i was there……….

Last of the week along in a minute………
Indeed Gary, it turned out a scorcher!, so much so, all of us have beetroot faces tonight, got burnt to a crisp :diablo: Obscene amount of biz movements at DUB today, puts Luton to shame :p , star being a Brazilian Legacy dropping in for an hour or so, only bummer was, 2 usaf 747’s doing circuits in the zone at 6000ft, meant to come in but disappeared! (guessing they were the ones being used as AF1 and AF2 at the G8) Shot over 400, not even thinking of looking at them tonight, need to put some cream on my burnt face hehe. will post some shots later.
