Hiya,
Love the shots, by any chance were you in the terminal building at Glasgow during your visit if so, were you at the viewing area between stands 1-18??
AJ
Thanks
No i was’nt in the terminal, i go to the spot you mention on a saturday morning, though, if i’m not working. There is usually a gaggle of spotters around that spot most days.
nice selection of movements there scott all in a days work
peter
Ahem… all in a days HARD work! …thangyouverymuch 😀
Cheers Peter
Where i arrived just in time (again) for old smoky Euro Atlantic Tristar landing replacing a GirJet 757 that was due:

Which then had to sit on the taxiway for 15 minutes to get a stand!

Sorry for the missing wheels (Edinburgh rife with wheel thieves:D ) OE-LMH now with MAP Executive, it is working for Globespan at EDI for a wee while

The Tristar finally getting to go to a stand
(For anyone around EDI on friday….the return flight of this charter is due back then, maybe the Tristar, maybe the GirJet 757)
Finally back home to Glasgow with just enough light at dusk to shoot visiting UAE Challenger parked in a very handy place (This is apparently staying for 4 or 5 days for anyone around GLA next few days)

And then it was pizza time 😀
Or those of us who pay close attention to all aspects of our work! Getting horizons level doesn’t make you a snob. 🙂
Although I must agree, Scotty, A.Net are utterly stupid at times!
Paul
You are quite right,Paul, of course, i was referring to the Horizons on Monkeys shots, which you really would have to look hard at to see a problem, but, A-Net would find it a problem….just love ranting about the double (triple, quadruple etc…??) standards at A-Net 😀
Good stuff,Peter.
Was going to wait for AB but could’nt be bothered, typical it was a nice 737 (mind you if i hung around it would have been a Fk100!!!) Did you get the camcorder footage of PIA??
Good start Monkey!!
Nothing to be disappointed with there, except the light, which unfortunately none of us have any control over:D No worries with the editing either, well cropped, only very VERY slightly off horizon on one or two, sort of thing only the screening snobs at A-Net would think mattered!! Good job.
At a time when the Scots independence movement is stronger than ever, should the UK government continue to invest so much in Scotland, why not leave to to the Scottish executive? Just look at the MoD, we have the Trident submarines at Faslane, most of the Tonka fleet north of the border, it is probable the F-35 fleet will be there as well, and now Scotish shipyards get to build the new Carriers for the Navy.

Why does such preferential treatment exist?
Hey, you could always just pay us back the oil money(without which,England would be a 3rd world country :p ) Take the nuclear subs down the road (as well as the associated extreme danger they bring to the country), and give the carriers contract to the lowest bidder, and ,not use the talents of the greatest shipbuilders in the world on the Clyde, Vote the tories back in, and let them test their insane tax ideas on English poor folk,
And we can call it quits…(oh, and feel free to keep George Galloway…as a parting gift:diablo:)

Wednesday:

A nice surprise to see this logojet arrive……..
Then the latest addition to FlyBe’s fleet……….

Thursday:……………Lost cause 😡
Friday:
Interesting chopper at the GAT……….

Vickers King Air doing it’s usual 5 minutes on the ground visit..

Newish bird for Titan……
Possible last visit from PIA at Glasgow for a few months, thanks to the EU rules!! 😡 😡

And so ends a week of mince weather at the local.
Happy weekend all.
Great set of shots…well done that man, was beginning to think everyone forgot the A380 was in UK this week 😮 😮
Good stuff,Kevin. Could’nt be bothered trying to find a way up to the mound 😮 😮 . Looks like the Globey 757 is sick, had various engineers scrambling around her and engine cowlings open too.
Typical that the sun made an appearance 5 mins after the Georgian buggy left 😡
Thanks lads.
Peter: shot the Luton stuff from beside the monarch hangar, just up from Cargo.
Cheers James, they are actually Falcon 20’s, First time i’ve seen something that big at Teesside, the driver fairly flung it to the deck!!!
Heathrow 09L Friday:

Then a run up to Luton (in the rain…of course) to collect Engine Cowlings for a TCX 757 from Monarch Engineering:

Then up the road to Prestwick with these 2 cowlings that have been through the wars a bit:

(see i do do some work…..sometimes!)
Never shot owt at Prestwick on Saturday….due to lack of any aircraft at the airport!!!!!
Back to Glasgow in time to miss the new Globey 757 go out, only thing of note worth shooting was….
The UEFA cup …on show in the terminal.
Finally …taking the Georgia football team home on sunday to lick their wounds after a gubbing by the mighty Scotlandfootballclub:

Heres hoping now that summer is here for some sun this week!
Stuck?, why?
When the crew went to collect MSJF they were meant to depart KBFI on the monday, but, for whatever reason, they never left till friday.
I wonder if the often rumoured flypast over Rolls Royce Aero Engines at Inchinnan near GLA will happen this time ?
Thats already happened,Allen. last year (but it was at 38,000 when it done it 😀 😀 )
