All part of Airbuses efforts to woo new customers.
Doesn’t really mean much in the way of seeing which way the long await BA longhaul order will go. It doesn’t even mean BA are considering the A380 either.Airbus want BA. So they’ll give them weekly A380 joy rides if they think it’ll help.
Calm down,Sandy!!:D (don’t want to have to send the medics up to Fife hehe) Don’t worry about those nasty inbreds that would dare buy the 380, at least not till they sign the dotted line :dev2:
Information posted for those who may wish to go see the super jumbo when it re-visits LHR….that’s all.
a source working for gsm tells me the 757 is indeed delayed till friday evening.
James; usually it is airline crew that ferry, or they charter a ferry pilot, certainly the -700 was brought over by gsm crew who were stuck in Seattle for 8 days i believe.
Good stuff,Woody.
Got yourself a Kodak eh…. now, just one small step to upgrading to DSLR!! only taken you 15 years to join the digital set 😮 😮 :p look forward to more of the same( till 2020 when you get a DSLR hehe:D )
Fave is the NAO 767, still not seen one of these yet!
It was indeed Phillippine AL who changed the order to 777’s.
Thanks for the comments guys 🙂
T’was indeed some hairy touchdowns, especially at ABZ, have another shot of the Wideroe (cut most of the front off) in which it’s right wingtip is only about 20 inches off the deck 😮 😮
Equally windy Aberdeen on friday:

Bumpy landing for the Wideroe…………

Cheers
Thanks for the comments chaps::D 😀
Nice shots Scot shame you missed the American reg’d F70 🙁 was it a business F70?
Regards
James
James, yes it was owned by Ford…arrived on monday n/s and left early this morning…this is the chap: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0292293/M/
Great shots, the Chopper came out stunning, what type is it?
Deano, it is indeed a Eurocopter EC135…been a fairly frequent visitor here, i think it is based at Barton, and is owned by Taggart homes, a Norn Irish company.
Peter, the XL was still sitting on stand when i passed this evening, so may be still about in the morning.
Aye,Kevin.
Deffo up for that. Been years since i went on a mass plunder south of the border. you thinking road or air??
Good set there chaps.
Si afaik there will be 777’s for the next 8-10 weeks as the A310 and 747 go in for heavy maintenance. PIA have leased 2 A310’s from somewhere which may be seen around these parts. Very happy that PIA have not changed the frequency at GLA. Amsterdam, Frankfurt,
Rome, Milan Athens and Chicago all been dropped and most other routes reduced frequency. Obviously the route doing well 😀
Thanks for the comments,chaps.
Thought that was you,Allen. sorry had to move along…that wee road is as busy as the kingston bridge!!!
Thanks folks
Jamie, the EZE was doing a charter to Farnborough, there was another in the evening.
Peter i think all the Belair fleet are that way, the Citation arrived about 45 mins before Belair went up.
Allen….even worse.. it was carrying Scottish football fans to Italy 😮
For anyone around GLA today there is a Bravo Airlines 767 due in at 1130 with Osasuna FC, and PIA is a B772 due around 1613( another on friday, the saturday service been changed to friday)
Unfortunately ..most of the sunlight fell off the back of me lorry :p :p :
Manchester Friday afternoon:

Any of the many MAN lads know the reg. of this Dornier?? (for me records)

I would be very careful in Bangkok, be wary of seriously shady persons, DO NOT drink the water or have ice in a drink (you see the ice men in the streets with huge blocks of ice and axes chopping it up,then shovelling the ice (and the other “stuff” on the street with it) into bags to go to the bars. Be very careful of eating “food” from the many many sellers on corners.
Use METERED taxis for safety and have either a small map of where you are going or the address in Thai (amazing how the taxi drivers “don’t understand” you until it is time to pay,of course!!!)
Visit the Grand Palace formerly the royal family home well worth a visit, also, next door is Dusit Zoo, a massive zoo with some awesdome inmates including white tigers, however, to their shame the cages are way too small for the beasts, a must visit (if you’re not too “timid” is Pat Pong road where you find lots of “adult entertainment” venues and the original hang out of the ladyboys of bangkok (also, it was, the site of the only MacDonalds in Bangkok when i was there!!) DO NOT take the camera into a club in Pat Pong road though:o
Wat Pho temple also worth the visit.
Bangkok is not an expensive place to visit, or for that really a dangerous place, but you must be alert, it is also a wee bit touchy there at the minute with a military coup recently and some bombing, but, is returning to normal now.
Hope this helps, I am off to Asia including a few days in Bangkok in July myself.
I stayed for a year in Sydney years ago, but, since you are staying with relatives you should be alright (2 places to visit, Manly beach and Coogee beach…just awesome, (the Coogee bay hotel was my local in OZ, fabulous place) and dont be too surprised to be disappointed by Bondi!!
Just noticed you are going around March, if you are in OZ for St. Paddy’s day..Selina’s in the Coogee bay hotel is THE place for Paddy’s day in Sydney.
Enjoy.
