Seem to remember this being done in the states years ago, don’t know why the practice was stopped, makes great sense. (bit of a bummer if an a/c can’t get it’s engines started though)

Great news for GLA, but, 4 years to lay a tiny bit of track is shocking,added to the years of inane discussion to get to this point, same type of project started in Japan/Malaysia/Korea etc…at the same time would have been celebrating some billion passenger milestone or something by this time 😀
Too much talking not enough doing 😡 😡
(hoping to see the M74 to Kingston bridge link, started before i was born, completed before i pop off 😮 :confused: :confused: )

Nice shots Tartan and Mark! What’s it like for parking round that shot?

Not too bad… i drive a Luton van(very apt!!) and get it parked there no probs(apart from having to go up in reverse, due to being too long to get turned), there is a small area that could prob park 6 or 7 cars and a few lay by type bits on the approach road.
Good shots Mark and no problem at all, though they warrant a thread of their own 😀 The Yugo Citation is a stoater!! good job!

If my guess is right they were taken at the emergency gate were the TV show airport allways goes to take the micheal:D Am i right Tartan???

It is at an Emergency gate access road opposite side of the runway from the terminal indeed, however, i’ve never seen the “airport” tv show (honest!!) so can’t help with that 😮

Nice shots, what’s that all about BA levy on the ryanair?

Very nice. Did not know you could get close to the runway at LTN. Maybe something to try next summer. Is that spot accesible by foot/public transport from the terminal?

I doubt you will get any public transport to the spot, it is very remote and quite a distance from the terminal,unfortunately, Only thing i could think of would be a taxi (maybe 5 miles) or a kind soul from the forum who may be able to take you round, It is by far the best (only?) spot for runway shots with the sun behind you, it has a quite high police presence, with them popping in and out fairly regularly,but,offer no hassle as long as you arent doing silly fence climbing etc..

Yes, MON head office is at Luton, there was another 321 and 320 out of shot also (with an A320 going OTT).

Ahh Robin hood…i thought that was on my right, cool Thanks guys.
Monkey, the shots were taken from the old terminal, next to FlyBe hangar and where the biz stuff gets parked.

MAR already owns Wolverhampton and Blackpool airports.

In the spirit of learning something new every day….Wolverhampton Airport!!!
Never knew there was one 😮 I drive by Wolverhampton every other day!!
Anyone know what goes there? (is it worth a visit with me cam?)
