Well done! Are the A380s still restricted to 27L/09R?

If you are walking out of the terminal walk left to where there is a smoking area. There is a gap where fence stops. You can’t miss it. Parking is extortionate – cost me £7.20 for 90 mins.

Just to save on parking costs..if you park near the mound area for shooting 09L on Stanwell Moor rd at the approach road to T5 you can walk to the terminal in 5 mins
You can get decent in sun shots from that spot once the sun moves around late afternoon
Great shot all the same 😀

Would be awesome to see one fly again.. maybe someone more knowledgeable than me would know.. i remember reading at the time about how draining this fluid with no way to replace it was the death knell for her.

Matt: AFAIK all the Concordes had all hydraulic fluid drained.this could never be replaced rendering them all permanently grounded.

Dont get the Minoan air ones… looked into EDI-OXF recently..cheapest return £402!! aimed at biz pax but i just cant see the demand even for biz between oxford and embra…if they are marketing it as London oxford then cant see anyone choosing 400 quid to oxford and an hour on a bus above direct to LCY for a third the price.. good luck to them but i fear the worst

That is indeed the self same jacks.. those two plus a nosegear jack….one of the main gear jacks fell apart in the back of my van actually…felt some movement stopped for a look and one of the support struts had seperated..the retaining bolts on them all were only finger tight!!..found the bolt and nut that fell out and refitted it!.. the jacks are now under BWWT in the Loganair hangar at GLA
