This thread is well over the 20 pages limit now.

Anyone who feels the urge to do so can start a replacement.

Do any of these ships fly?

It’s all very interesting, but this is supposed to be a military aviation forum.

Try to stay on topic, please.

    Thanks

I’ve had a minor clear-up in this thread as one or two people appear to be experiencing a maturity deficit.

    Let’s hope it’s a temporary condition.

Please continue the (on topic!) discussion.

    Thanks

Given that the General Discussion forum is dedicated to the discussion of non-aviation topics, this is hardly surprising. 🙂

Of course its quite possible we will only get the general overall aspects of the Defence Review tomorrow and have to await on further communications later on to get down to the nitty gritty stuff.

This is almost certainly what will happen.

The Chancellor will only provide the ‘headlines’, as it were.

Agreed, its not a good place for sharing such kind of developments because there isn’t many people who interests future commercial aircrafts.

Well, here’s your chance to change it for the better! 🙂

Can I remind you all that we have a Commercial Aviation forum, which is where discussion of airlines and airliners properly belongs?

    Thanks

It is an old rule that Hitler and every other dictator know well: when your people is starving/oppressed, give them someone to hate, and they’ll forget their own misery.
For Hitler it was the Jews.
    For Argentina the Falklands.
For Saddam it was Iran, Kuwait and so along…

Right, that’s the thread well and truly Godwinned.

Liger30, please stop ranting at us.

This is a discussion forum, not your own personal blog.

    Thanks

…..p.s. If I made the remark to my wife that the original poster made to his wife during the landing I wouldn’t be replying to this now as she would have freaked. Be careful what you say during a flight you may put others off for life.

Exactly the point I was making in post #2.

    Gentlemen,

While a certain amount of ‘background material’ is vital to any informed discussion, we do seem to be veering off in the direction of politics and diplomacy now.

Can we return to the original topic of the thread, please?

    Thanks
