Who the f*ck is Morrissey?
A miserable person who used to sing depressing self-pitying songs with daffodils stuck up his bum. Yes, really.
Rumour has it that he’s a teacher these days. And it probably serves him right, too!
Manchester Airport stands behind low-cost heavy weight London-Stansted with just shy of 20 Million passengers handled per annum.
Hmmmm….. the Civil Aviation Authority “rolling” annual passenger figures for March 2004 place Manchester (20,100,485 pax) ahead of Stansted (19,412,659 pax). Where did you get your figures from, A380, and to what period do they refer?
Also, I think you’ll find that Liverpool’s passenger figures rose dramatically because of the major increase in the number of flights operating from the airport (mainly thanks to easyJet) and not because the airport was renamed after the late Mr Lennon.
Maybe there should be a statue of Stelios in the terminal, eh? 😎
Anyway, my money’s on Hilda Ogden International………… (if you have to ask, you’re probably too young to remember).
( je parle vous en francsais)
Qu’est ce que c’est le “francsais”???
No problemo – it’s currently appearing in all the best airports as G-JMCF of Thomas Cook Airlines.

The Airbus Industrie website does not seem to mention a variant called the “A319 Fuel Option”.
Perhaps you have misread it somewhere, Jeanske_SN.
According to Airbus Industrie, D-APAC and D-APAD of Privatair are A319-132LRs.
I think we can probably take their word for it…………
ps – Bmi long-haul services started from Manchester, not Glasgow or Edinburgh. British Midland, however, started long-haul services in the late 1960s with Boeing 707s……
That’s truly a cheek-clenching low pass!
Ah, but is it quite what it seems? Look carefully at the nosewheel door………..
Buccaneers – lovely grub!!!! 😀
Ooops, looks like your problem is solved.
Yes, indeed.
Just the flatulence and the tendency to shoot himself to worry about now………….

I’m sorry – I just had to buzz your Spits with my Sea Fury…… 😀
Ooooh! Just listen to that Centaurus……….
G-BCBA (Boeing 720-023B c/n 18014) entered service with American Airlines as N7528A.
It first became G-BCBA on 10/4/74 with Invicta.
It was leased to Air Niugini as P2-ANG from 06/02/76 until reverting to G-BCBA with Monarch in March 1977. It enjoyed several periods of short-term lease to other airlines but retained G-BCBA throughout.
It became 4X-BMA with Moaf Airlines on 23.10.81 (picture here) , and was sold to Omega Air as N341A in January 1986.
It was used for KC-135 parts at Davis-Monthan from 28/1/86 and was finally broken up at Tucson in June 1991.
Hope this helps…………
I remember it better in this livery. 🙂
It’s not a daily flight.
It started out as Fridays and Sundays only, but it’s down to just Friday at the moment – at least until BWIA get their hands on some more long-haul equipment.
p.s. since when did BWIA go to MAN
Since about July 2003, if my memory serves me correctly.
The service was originally operated with L1011 equipment but a variety of aircraft, including LOT 767s, were used until delivery of the ex-Virgin A340 (9Y-JIL) gave them enough long-haul aircraft of their own to operate the service themselves.
