I have always assumed that the Grey in your name referred to the quality of the matter inside you head. Not to the fluff on the outside.

We have credible alternatives as trading partners, and they know this.

But surely we are already trading with these other nations, and so are our competitors within the EU?

What basis do you have for assuming that our share of trade with those countries would increase to make up the loss of trade with the EU should the UK leave that group? Especially since the UK would no longer be able to act as a gateway into the EU market – a significant factor in our trading relationships with non-EU partners at present.
