Why do we care about this, Sean? 😀

    Anyway……they could just buy push-bikes instead, couldn’t they? :p

We are not, seeing as we will soon be sick of the sight of the damn thing…. 😉

TF-FII is expected to arrive at MAN at 19:35 today.

    Yay….. 🙁

I was going to mention the Saturn thing, too.

    But I didn’t want to appear pedantic….. 😉

    Oh dear……. 🙁

I can’t understand why they never adopted the silver, black and white “Greek warrior” scheme that G-ZAPN wears across the whole fleet – you know, the one that looks a lot like the US Airways livery.

    At least it’d look professional.

Ahhh…. it was a rebranding exercise, nothing more.

    Tut! Semantics……….. 😉

Midland’s first international route was Derby (Burnaston) – Ostend in 1956 with DC3s.

    Ahem…….

If we’re talking about transatlantic routes by British Midland, you need to go a bit further back than that. 😉

That’s not what most people would mean by the phrase….. and I was answering greekdude’s question about the DC10-40s. 🙂

Nope – they’re still around for now, greekdude.

Well, 6 of them are at any rate. 🙂

To be fair, Tom, I did say that “little of interest wandered across my viewfinder”, not that nothing of interest was present.

In fact, today saw the start of the new Estonian Air service to Tallin. But the aircraft (ES-ABI) was parked on a “hidden” stand and took off on runway 06L – so no picture. 🙂

There were a lot of people out there predicting the end of the world at midnight on 31 December 1999, too. 😀

They already have 7 B737-500s and a single 300 series in service, so this is hardly surprising news.

Nice to see them planning to expand their operation, though.
