Hmmmm…. I can see tenthije‘s point, to be honest.

Should we really treat fatal accidents as “entertainment”?

There but for the grace of God, etc……

    Hey, don’t worry.

    I used one of Sandy’s templates. 😀

I cannot disagree with you. I’d much rather see Wright-Phillips playing down the right than Beckham – and that doesn’t come easily from a Red. 😀

    Why, thanks very much! 😀

All it needs now is a logo for the tail and maybe the engine cowlings.

    Yes – welcome indeed, OSH.

This may sound crazy, but not all the aircraft in storage or for lease.

    No! Really??? 😀

None of this alters the fact that Ryanair have leased these A320s – if, indeed they have. 😉

Hmmm – that’s not how I read it.

I think even Airbus would admit that the A340-500 is every bit as much a “niche” aircraft as the B777LR.

Alas – he is no longer with us either, mate. 🙁

There aren’t all that many stored aircraft per se in Europe – there isn’t the room over here that there is in Arizona or New Mexico.

It stands to reason, then, that many leasing companies store “resting” aircraft in the USA – for example, the Air Atlanta/Excel B757s have recently re-appeared in the UK after winter storage in the desert.

A ferry flight of a few hours’ duration and your stored 737 is in Europe or Asia or wherever, and earning an honest crust. 🙂

I agree with danohagan again!!! 😮

And I’ll bet my Dad’s bigger than your Dad, too! :p

Where does this notion that there are no B737s available for lease come from? The deserts of the USA are full of airliners of all types at the moment.

Ah, but it has to be the right aircraft for the operator, Sandy.

As you know, there’s no such thing as a “standard” airline operation.

Even similar requirements vary in detail from company to company. Accordingly, so do the solutions to those requirements.

For some, the solution certainly will be the B777LR, and for others it will be another type.

This is not foolishness, nor is it naivety or even heresy. 😉

    It is diversity.
