The Wright brothers weren’t the only aviation pioneers, you know. Some people, even now, claim that they weren’t even the first!

There were others in Europe, Brazil and even New Zealand who were only a very short way behind them and, more importantly, had not collabprated with the Wrights or, indeed, with each other. The fundamental technology was already “in the public domain”, as it were.

If the Wrights hadn’t flown their Flyer on December 17th 1903, someone else would have flown a heavier-than-air aircraft mere months later.

They’ll order the A380 if they think they can make money with it.

That’s the reason that airlines buy aircraft, after all! 🙂
