How about converting 1 or 2 for the use of the Government? They jet off all around the world in their comfy bumpfy 747s with loads of space and luxury features, when all they really need is speed.

When speed is of the essence, governments and businesses use secure video-conferencing to conduct the real crisis management, not face-to-face meetings.

And then there’s the not inconsiderable matter of no C of A, no spares or maintenance support, etc, etc.

In any case, foreign visits by members of HM Government are almost always meticulously planned well in advance.

We all know that the in-flight nosh is all that really matters. :rolleyes:

In fact, the only reason that airlines exist at all is to serve in-flight meals.

Granted, Interflug, but surely we can draw the line at extolling the virtues of one political party over another – all the more so if that party is founded on xenophobia and misplaced feelings of superiority over “foreigners”?

Also, the vertical stabiliser (Tail fin in leymans terms) and Horizonatal Stabilisers are unique to the 777.

But I thought that most aircraft had vertical and horizontal stabilisers? :confused:

Only kidding, Sandy…. the 777 is a splendid aircraft with an extremely efficient wing design. Like the man says, it just doesn’t need winglets adding to the design.

I’ll try and make this very, very, simple indeed so that everyone can understand it.
