Ah, but Sandy – the Eurocypria 737s all have different coloured tails…..

    Strange, but true. 🙂

Is LBA the only regional airport which gets its KLM flights operated an F100 these days?

No, we still see them at Manchester.

    Cracking photos, Joe! 🙂

True, but remember that a significant part of the normally-available long-haul airlift capacity is still engaged in flights to and from the Middle East.

Looks like some unfortunates could be in for a long wait. 🙁

“Learn To Fly” by Foo Fighters wouldn’t exactly inspire confidence mid-flight, would it? 😮

Their new, grey scheme is, according to them, because it doesn’t get dirty so fast

    Of course it is!

    I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that I’m Kylie Minogue……. 😎

mean people who say things like:

“Its airbus so it has to be better”

“Its a better aircraft because there are more orders for it”

    That kinda crap.

Annoys the hell out of me.

Oh, it annoys me too, and I presume that it would be just as annoying if we substituted the word “Boeing” for “Airbus”? 😉

The type of partisan b 😡 llsh 😡 t that Sandy describes is childish and shortsighted and adds nothing to the discussion.

Of course differents types have different characteristics, different strengths and different weaknesses. What would be the point of building an identical aircraft to your competitor?

Someone observed yesterday that choice is a good thing.

    They were right.

Britain has a larger percentage of low quality, high priced products.

No, no – that’s the wrong sort of competition! 😉

Both manufacturers benefit from questionable subsidies from a number of sources, and both seem to forget their own subsidies when criticising those that benefit the other.

Anyone who believes otherwise simply hasn’t been paying attention. 😉

Airlines will buy the types that they think are best suited to their business, regardless of the personal preferences of any of us here assembled.

    It’s not a game, chaps.

Agreed – It’s competition that’s got us the aircraft and airline industry we’ve got today.

it is only the British ones who cram 9 abreast into their A330s and 8 abreast into a 767!

This is probably because other European punters won’t put up with being treated like cattle.

Whereas we Brits with our “oooh, don’t make a fuss” attitude will continue to lose out every time.

    Mugs, ain’t we? 😡
