It’s got me baffled too, I certainly didn’t delete the post intentionally

I’ve also recently ‘restarted’ the hobby and whilst I’m no expert I’ll offer my 2p’s worth!
I’ve always found paints vary, metallics are especially hard to work with. It’s best not to use the paints as they are out of the tin, I find they take some stirring (sometimes up to twenty minutes work!) and often some thinning with either white spirit or the paint thinners produced specifically for the purpose. To get the best results it’s sometime worth thinning the paint right down and applying two or more coats.
I notice acryllic paints are more popular these days, I have no real experience with those but I guess they would be thinned with water?

I believe the awards will be announced/presented on the 22nd of October. I ‘won’ tickets to the ceremony as a result of a drawer I entered when I voted (for Stow Maries, of course) but unfortunately can’t attend.

She sounded great guys, keep up the good work!
Thanks Tony, that’s the one I’ve ordered. They have a cracking website, it’s nice to be able to check out the instructions in advance.
Thanks guys,
John, complicated is ok, I’m fine with fiddly but I just want to avoid older kits that often don’t go together so well. Those Model Airways kits look fantastic but a little over my budget.
I’ve done a little research online and decided to go for 1:32 scale which will be a complete change for me. Roden seem to get very good reviews as do a new (to me at least) manufacturer Wingnut Wings and I’ve just ordered their kit.
Cheers,
Bruce
I made my first trip to Shuttleworth in far too long and took my wife to her first ever airshow.
The chance to see the RE8 and Albatross motivated me to make the effort and we both thoroughly enjoyed the day,

Just noticed this is available as a download for a tenner, will take a look (and John I hear you re: Day Z, great news that the project is going to be a standalone game)
G-LOFC is currently on check at CVT
This one was at Cosford in December 10, but it’s not in RNZAF markings?

Michael Crawford?
Try the demo and find out?
nvidia 8*** series cards are supported so it’s worth a try. I’ve had a quick look but it doesn’t run as smoothly as X-Plane 9 on my macbook unless I dial the settings down quite considerably so I won’t be upgrading just yet.

Thanks for sharing

It’s a long while since I’ve played it (I’m a mac user now) but I’m pretty sure it worked ok on XP, there are various patches and mods available too.
