SteveO, from which company is that CSA Concept with the box wing???

If you mean the joined/diamond wing concept it’s from Boeing, I don’t know who did the design with the two CSAs flying over the carrier though.

I found some interesting CSA design documents here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Support_Aircraft

🙂 I like the low level flyby with a Hornet upside down between a Tomcats vertical tails.

I don’t see the need for the rotodome on this concept, the inboard leading edges and trailing edge between the fins look like they could accommadate AESA radars for the AEW role.

Nice pics, great head on shots of the taxiing Su-30MKI, those vertical tail fins are huge!

I highly recommend the novels of co-writers Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, if you like Dan Brown’s books these guys are better (in my opinion anyway).

I would suggest starting with the buried treasure hunt ”Riptide” or the archaeological expedition ”Thunderhead” which are both excellent mystery thrillers. 10/10 for both!

”Sky Masters” was my favourite Dale Brown book, I have to admit I got a little bored with ”Day of the Cheetah” and never finished it, I can’t remember why?

Clive Cussler’s Dirk Pitt books are a firm favourite too, great characters and entertaining stories 🙂

I’ve read ”The Wasp Factory” and ”Walking On Glass” by him as Iain Banks, both were weird but quite amusing and I enjoyed both. I also have ”The Crow Road” but I have seen the BBC adaptation so I’m in no hurry to read it.

I’ve realized it’s not easy to give all books marks out ten.

”Saucer” by Stephen Coonts. Sci-fi about finding a flying saucer, entertaining read, 9/10.

”Buccaneer, The story of the last all-British strike aircraft” by Tim Laming. Nice little book, interesting pics and info, 8/10.

The Abyss had some good naval scenes in it, the loss of the SSBN was very well done.
