I’m sure Anatoly Kvochur in a Su-27 or Gyula Vari in a MiG-29 could be fun!

I miss the ‘Delta Jets to operate a Jag T4’ rumour 🙁

Hope to make it to the May event as I’ll be at the Belgian Grand Prix over the August bank holiday. Hope for some beautiful weather!

At last! Will be good to see them get some TLC and put on display.

I have to say I’m quite surprised they’ve been bought – I thought they’d sit at Bournemouth until scrapping.

The only airframe that springs to mind was a Westland Whirlwind in a pub play area in Rettendon, Essex. The closed a few years ago, the chopper may have left even before then, but I haven’t a clue what happened to it.

Interesting snaps. Was gonna ask about photos of the hangar that had the fire, but realised the original post was from 2009..!

Slight bit of thread drift, but whats happened to the Phantom that was brought back to Yeovilton from Leuchars? Is it on display?

I’ve been told it was moved to the paintshop 😀

RAFM Cosford, http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?t=114039&highlight=lyneham+comet , though I’m not sure how those plans are progressing.

Thanks, great news. I’d heard the airframe had some corrosion and was under the impression it didn’t have much of a future ahead of it.

Are there any plans for the Comet to move elsewhere?

Has anyone been to photograph the Phantom at Wattisham? Do they pull the aircraft out of the HAS on open days? It’d look awesome parked outside the shelter, with canopies up.. 🙂

There is a Huey Cobra on the horizon to join the flying fleet for the forthcomming Air Show season!…watch this space.

That is superb news. I was looking at photos of a Cobra flying in the Czech Republic and was surprised by how small they look!

Obviously cost is a huge factor, but I’d love to see the Huey, Loach and now Cobra down in the South of England a few more times in 2013 🙂

FIA now saying Vettel didn’t commit an offence. This image shows him overtaking under a green flag..

Realistically I’d love to see the Sabre, Sea Vixen and Canberra back in the air. I’d also love to see the Gannet flying too, although I’m not sure how far off that is from a return to flight.
