WOW. Saying that in military forum needs a lot of courage

Hi Matej …I like your work in the secretprojects forum. I just think that the definition of what is unnacceptably evil has been so watered down to a ” if you’re not with us you’re with them” type of kindergarten mentality it is scary. I was an infantry lieutenant fighting, ..ahem..communists at that time so I am no … to use a cheap quote..

Just a bunch of pathetic pacifist left, “I hate Bush” whining.

Of course, space has been militarized since Sputnik…if they could loft a satellite, they can loft a warhead idea. I also laugh as a spy satellite is most definitely military. It’s a little like a scope on a sniper rifle. You’d never be able to identify the high value target such as the officer from long range without the scope. And certainly not be able to hit him. A sniper performs a valuable intel role as well. Therefore the scope is an integral part of his rifle..and is therefore a weapon. The cold war proved this by recon satellites identifying gaps in military spending, allowing one side to gain a significant advantage, or to prevent useless uneccessary spending.

Even better, next time I disagree with you, may I call you a fat, loud mouthed, badly dressed, poorly educated, bomb dropping bully that cannot pick a fight with someone their own size? May I also include the fact that you have soft mud between your toes and that you have an innate inability to spell correctly? ….Just kidding, but you see how easy it is! :diablo: :dev2: :p 😀 😉

I belong to a few chat sites. I am not American. This seems to be a typical response from a certain type of American, sometimes to other Americans, and sometimes to foreigners. Is the average American this pidgeonholed into categories? Is this just a technique to stymie debate, (freedom of speech) or do you really feel this way? Is political affilliation really more important to you than your basic humanity and the fact that you are the same species with the same DNA as another fellow human being? We are after all just a type of organism clinging to a rock spinning through space. Are man made constructs such as party politics or affilliations so important? If they are, does this mean you Deify those who make policies you believe in…a sort of hero worship or God worship? Then it stands to reason that those who make policies in the ‘other’ camp must be Vilified…sort of like an untermensch crossed with the devil. Good grief! How beautifully simple. Where do I sign up? 😉
If the EU wants to make a massive deal about this, I say the US should cut off GPS service to the rest of the world. Fair game for our own system, right?
Err… and then everybody would migrate to Glonass and Gallileo.

I know that this is an old thread, but there is an interesting discussion going on at the SAAf forum. Towards the end of the thread there are two 2 gentlemen that are aerospace engineers that have seen the windtunnel models.

Also, at AAD 2006 I spoke to one of the Cheetah C pilots. Some interesting details he informed me of is that the C model has a fuel capacity of about 3300 litres. It’s empty weight is 8210kg, and more interestingly, when I asked him about the high empty weight versus engine power, he stated that the C has an extra 300kg thrust in dry power after engine modifications. He refused to say more. He also was very cagey about the elusive Cava, but stated that there was a windtunnel model with canards that looked like a single engined Rafale. He also stated that he heard that a twin engine configuration was also looked at. He wouldn’t be drawn further and stated that it was all academic by now!

Are all Cheetah D’s equipped with the new intake, or is this the same aircraft?
