Glad yopu got your camera sorted.
Just a quick question for the digital users here. I’m thinking of going digital and was thinking of a EOS 300D. Is this a decent camera to get? Bear in mind I’m not loaded and a 300D is pretty much top of my budget, or should I go a bit higher and go for a 10D.
Thanks
Neal
My music tastes haven’t really changed that much.
First record that I owned was Duchess by The Stranglers in 1979, aged 6. Still like em, along with Stiff Little Fingers and a few more 70’s punk bands. More recently I’ve got into stuff like pink floyd and Steve Harley. Newer music by Green Day, Franz Ferdinand, the ordinary boys and Razorlight. Also I think Katie Melua has a fantastic voice. Throw in to this some classical and music from the 40’s 50’s and 60’s and you’re pretty much there. I guess I just like what I like and nobody’s gonna change it. It does help if it has guitars though.
Steve Young. I’m with you on radio 2 and I’m 30. I get to work just after Wogan starts so don’t often get to hear his whole show.

I had a curry last night, a Tarka Masala. A bit like tikka masala but otter.

Steve, I was best man for a mate a couple of years ago. I think its best to keep the speech to about 5 or 6 minutes. I went to a wedding a few weeks ago and the best mans speech went on for 20 mins and basically everyone was bored.
Best to avoid stories that will offend or upset others. As for gags, anything you say that embarrases(without offence) the groom will get a laugh, the best mans speech is last and everyone will have had plenty to drink by the time you do your speech.
Also in the speech you read out cards, best to stick to ones sent by people who couldn’t attend and people who made long trips or came from overseas.
You also thank all for coming, the groom for asking you to be best man, you toast ushers, brides maids and the bride and groom. You may also be required to pass on any info and also announce the other speeches by brides father and groom.

Finally, relax, have fun and enjoy it. Everyone is on your side.

I seem to remember that Alistair Kay flew the Mustang at the autumn show a couple of years ago, his display was a lot more sedate then, today he just seemed to go for it. Fantastic stuff Alistair.

Nice shots guys. The one of the AAM glass wall is super.

I had a good day, great display despite the breeze.
Highlights for me were Sea Hawk and Sea Fury, Mustang, does anyone know who flew this because they really meant it, Paul Bonhomme Su26 and the Spitfires. Wow the Spitfires.

Cheers folks.
Sorry, no photo, but rest assured the grin is there.
Ken, hope you get going soon. Have been waiting for good weather to go solo for a couple of weeks now, every time I turn up for a leeson I seem to bring gails with me. I was surprised that I went solo today.
On departure from leicester the wind was really gusting and just after climbing to 2500 ft in the overhead a heavy shower passed through which we avoided by heading off to the south.
On return to Leicester, the shower had passed and the sky was blue and the wind had calmed. Taxying in, we pulled over to one side, my instructor got out and said off you go. 😮
Just did the one circuit as G-BKGW was booked out to someone else.
Hours logged – 8.45 dual and 10 mins solo. 😀
