Ouch, that sounds nasty. I got stung on my finger today by a bee, my finger was swollen for about an hour and went completely numb. Being stung by dozens of wasps but have been awful. Hope you’re ok now.

Not the best quality but here’s a couple of pics of some of the JP’s in use with the Line Training Flight at Cosford.

    Cheers Guys.
I’ve seen/ heard a few horror stories about paying up front and also some good but I was more in favour of paying for blocks of 10 hours or so at a time.

I’m aiming for two lessons a week, possibly three if time allows. The theory books and equipment don’t seem to be too badly priced at Leicester but I’ll have a look on Amazon as well.

In my earlier post I said I may start my PPL in a month or two. Well, things have changed, it will be in a week or two. At Leicester.

It seems that to pay up front is looked upon as a bit of a no no. Is this purely for the reason of the school going bust.

I have the decision to pay all up front or to get what I need theory and equipment wise and then pay for lessons in blocks of ten hours, aiming for two lessons a week.

Really excited about this now and any advice will be gatefully recieved.

Has anyone here trained at Leicester?

Hi Steph, not a pilot myself but hope to start my PPL during July. I think you did the right thing, you never know if the others have seen you. When I have flown with others and we have seen another aircraft that may possibly converge with us, we took simillar action.

I really like this one that was part of the three ship.( pic taken at Old Warden).

Good to see three Harvards too.

As I said, normally I’d talk to anyone at any time but in this case, I dunno, I just didn’t.

I suppose he’s just a bloke with a Srearman on the day but I am a fan of his acting so I didn’t want to appear to come across like ” Hello Martin, I’m a big fan and love your work”. That would ‘ve been embarrasing for both.
I should of spoke though because if the truth be known I would probably just say Alright mate, nice aeroplane.

    Denny Dobson of course 😀

I’ve met Bruce Dickinson twice. Once on the bus between DX and Cambridge and once at DX itself.

I saw Martin Shaw at Olb Buck on Sunday but I bottled out of speaking to him.

Can’t think of anymore apart from a few minor footballers and current display pilots.
