Thanks Mike,
It was an early wakeup this morning……
and Cliff Spink
in the T-33… (Thanks Mike for the syntax error corrections). 😉
The Breitling Team
land together for the final time.
LA-9
touching down after an impressive series of flypasts.
Charlie Brown…
seen in the Spitfire, kicking the dust around.
Wow, what are the chances of that happening? Great work !!
What’s the background story with the Patriots L-39?
You should be able to source a 1GB Microdrive for substantially less than £250.
http://www.valuemedia.co.uk/ has them advertised for £116, including VAT.
If you cannot afford the Canon 10D, then checkout the D300. Be aware of it’s limitation though, as with most things you only get what you pay for. Regardless, you are still getting alot for your cash with this little camera.
The La-9 is (was?) jointly partly owned by the owner of Pioneer Aero Restorations in NZ, who also flies a very nice P-40. Perhaps he is getting some stick time…..
Well I hate the labs
Having not gone digital yet I must say that I spend way too much money on photos that are thrown away. It’s a waste when they are printed. Not that too many of mine are bad (but some are).
And it’s not just in-flight turbulence or the dirty canopies that are to blame… 🙂
Hello ?
It was I, Mike Jorgensen. (Nobody ever remembers).
Will call tomorrow night. 🙂
Nice photographs Snapper
Nice work snapper – and the photos aren’t bad either.
Perhaps I could order a flying suit for my little mini-me? 🙂
I’m going dyslexic
Sorry M42, I was reading it in a hurry before having to urgently change a nappy. Show me a job in aviation that REALLY pays what it’s worth, and I’ll be standing in line for an application form. (Managing Director doesn’t count sorry).
Seems a fair price
I think the money will be hard earned. That job certainly has a lot more involved with it than just driving around the fenceline and scaring away the spotters !!
Rain, Hail or Snow (well maybe…)
I will be there. In a black beanie to protect myself from the cold…
Nestor Slepcev
Daz,
Do a Search on Nestor Slepcev (and all possible variable spellings) and his 109 replica that he built in Australia about ten years ago. He used a horizontal tailplane from a larger aircraft, and produced a wing out of it for his Me109. It looked very fast. He also went on to design a scale (80%ish) replica of the Storch, the kit of which is still available.
