Mikoyan MiG-35 in Full Details: Specifications – Performances – Weapons – Sensors
So if I have read well they consider the key incremental feature of MiG-35 being the presence of “a fifth generation information and targeting” system akin to the one of PAK-FA?
And we have now a third Zhuk radar i.e. the AME?
You just made my point for me.
The Mig-35 has decades of operational Mig-29 experience to pull from while PakFa has no VLO operational experience to pull from.
This reminds me a curious guy in former Military Pictures forum that said that called the Pak-fa a fake with the argumentation that being it the first russian stealth plane, compared to the F-22 being the third generation of american ones, it should have had the faceted surface of F-117 to be called fair game…
We have now someone that really believes that the Zumwalt is a role model of how to build military ships?!?!?!?!:stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid:
what radar follow between 10 to 30. flight performance improved. indicating more engine power.
The numbers of tracked object depends from operational mode probably.
So, We are suddenly left out the competition by decision of the subcontractor to broke partnership and the day after another competitor refuse to commit themself to the project…
I’ll say nothing about this , just businnes like usual…
FBW, please discute it with Haavarla, I’m stuffed up to fight on two fronts: given that his opinion and mine are as far as I can see coincident and he is more proficient than me in both Aeronautical matters than english language i think the debate could only get an advantage.
Haavarla, maybe you do not have EVER looked at my previous posts about stealth, isn’t?
Your fix is still appreciated but it’s actually not existent, because it’s EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE EVER SAID from the beginning!:eagerness:
Because you know, this is not my first post about F-22 characteristics and I have been subjected to a real swarm assault by the usual crew from ‘murica every time I just suggested that the F-22 failed short to its original intended mission and was so downgraded to a mere homeland defence mission( the remaining one in which their hyped supercruise ability has a definite tactical advantage) with all of them based on US territory , one ocean away by any possible menace, while the 30+ years F-15C (in a very limited number) are still in first line.
Given that our valuable opinion would have been of extreme support to me on those awkward moments, please, next time I will ever return on the argument, I’ll call you in advance.
O.K?
To Y-20:
The only fighter that was designed to have about the same RCS from all angles is the F-22, F-35 itself has a frontal orientation.
That’s is also because different missions: F-22 is a (offensive) superiority fighter that was supposed to stay over the battlefield or even into enemy controlled territory for an elongated period of time while the F-35 was thought as a strike airplane that would enter straight into it, attack its own objectives and go back home.
Now, the PAK-FA when used in the A2A role would probably never try to operate like the F-22 was intended to but instead to be a part of the multilayer Russian AD defense and engage them in the usual eastern way: going straight against intruder , shoot against them, disengage, rinse and repeat.
So even in this case better to concentrate RCS on the frontal part as when disengaging the relative increase in RCS would be compensated by reduced range of both radar and missiles in a tail chase engagement.
J-20 main missions seems to be long range patrols over China Sea i.e. on a quite big an empty space and in which possible menaces are comparatively few and visible from quite a long distance in comparison to a land based scenario
There are aerodynamic/performance penalties for diverting air too.
Not too, they are probably even more crippling, that’s being the reason because both F-35 than J-20 went DSI.
Now we know that there is more than a way to go: you can use blockers, S-ducts, DSI or you can also, like in Tu-160 make the fan with RAM or you can combine some of them together.
I’ll bet 100/1 that the PAK-FA walk this way.
Some interesting news here:
F-35 has already flown 75,000 hours and has 200 operational airframes delivered
https://www.f35.com/news/detail/f-35-program-delivers-200th-operational-jet
So, there is actually more Operational F-35 than F-22 , even counting prototypes and YF ones ?
Amen. It is really this simple.
But i agree, we should end this right here and now. I say, lets all get back on hatin’ on MiG-35.
Hating’? no I’m just sorry for it: it would had became a great plane if they would have supported its development at the same level of Su-35.
Now, its development will end after the PAK-FA one.
Ok, now between the religious war there, political bickering in the one about Syria and the usual wall against wall in the F-35 one the threads worthy of a daily visit in this former aviation forum are just one or two and they doesn’t update frequently at all.
Man, no one can be 100% right or wrong, so two very precious person for this forum like TR1 and Berkut have showed here their most umpleasant face and JSR has showed his best.
For the rest , problem with JSR is more about his unabated chauvinism and RussiaSTRONK-ism than in the things he say.
No, for Russian olimpic team as the circles are 5.
Ok, this is supposed to be still an aviation related forum, so:
Su-35 was here.
