    Catching F-22 and its emissions?

Uh? F-22 are stationed South in the Gulf States, so why in the hell there would be a connection with them?
At Idlib and Aleppo the only US planes emission you can catch is the ones of A-10 from Incirclik, not a great deal IMHO.

    Yes, I know.
I’m also consider myself a filo-russian there, both regarding military than political matters but fanboysm, in their respective national variants is not just meaningless and monotonous, it’s also counterproductive.
Annoying everyone around doesn’t help your own ideas to be accepted, lest even convincing others.

Emhh, as much as I like the Pak-fa I still have to note that is still in prototype phase and just the latest of such items has the definitive frame, so really, about what “further ahead” are you talking about?

We have such a problem with passing from F-104S to Eurofighter, we hired Tornado ADV from UK and subsequentely F-16ADV from USNG.
Went quite smootly, above all with the second ones.
Some small east europe countries have a similar problem actually, some has taken just an handful of Gripen, other like Croatia keep on with refurbished MiG-21,just to keep a knowledge base.
Probably they would team up to share a pool of updated and /or advanced gripen in the future, as soon as the actual crysis would alleviate.

And the precise material/alloy they are made of is of such a great importance to justify such a feud?
IMHO no one of you gentlemen could be sure of what would the inner composition of such a sensitive item, so until there is something very specific send out from the producers available, all of what you affirm would just be a guessing.
Much more important would be to have news about times, prototype in whih it will be installed , performances reached and possible derivatives for other planes…

Please look at that Deagel page again, & read what I wrote. The Deagel page lists SALES, not PRODUCTION. It includes sales of secondhand aircraft. It obviously also includes sales of major upgrades, such as the NATO MLU. That would account for the F-16A/Bs.

Also, the USAF bought far more Block 50 than 52.

    Ok, thanks for clarification.

    Deagel says
    F-16C block 50 150
    F-16D block 50 37
    F-16C block 52 277
    F-16D block 52 52
    That’s 516 block 50/52

Plus some of unspecified blocks –
    F-16C Fighting Falcon 156
    F-16D Fighting Falcon 10

BTW, if you read down, you discover that it’s sales, not production, & includes secondhand aircraft, & I think upgrades. The block 50/52 aircraft I would expect to be all new, but the rest would take some untangling.

Yes but both of them cohomprehend different customers, F-15E is more simply as the ones produced for other AF have often a different denomination.
We were talking instead about the one of USAF not about the ones that were sold abroad.
So we have just an handful of block 52, think 58, built for US.
It is at the contrary quite curious how in the same period the production of F-16A/B continued, totalling more than 450.
What have to be considered is the average age of fleet not the years the last batch for an air force have been produced.
Same happened with Su-27, russian have produced just about a dozen of SM3 in 2011 , but it doesn’t means that there was a constant production from 1985 until now.

Any reason why RuAF is not using Iraqi AB closer to Syria rather then use Iran AB and fly all the way into Syria over Iraq

Because the Iraqi government was until now adamant that it doesn’t want any foreign unit , except for advisors, stationed in its own territory.
This is however a way greater limitation for the coalition that is forced to make all the way trough Southern Iraq before reaching the front than to Hamadan’s Tupolev and Fullbacks.
Mozdok is close but unsatisfactory because they need to go back over Caspian sea to bypass Azerbaigian.
Political gains given with stationing its own units in Iran is on the other side immense for Russia.

Er – no. They were still being made for the USAF under Dubya. The last one was delivered on 18-03-2005. The last block 40s were delivered to the USAF under Clinton, in 1993, & 269 block 50/52 from 1991 to 2005.

Ok, I was wrong: I retrieve the starting dates of each batches and assumed that they have kept the same production cadence of the previous batches.

With they you intend the F-15E? Because I still have the 1986 as the final production date for the C.
Or they have stopped it for some time and make a last one order a decade after like, just to say the Su-27sm3?

P.S. Gave a check on Deagel: 102 F-15E built 1992-2005. F-16block50 gave me just 150 +37 two seater in all the world from Clinton presidency until now, more than half of them 1996-7.

    USAF Nothing..?
US has about some 900 F-16 and 400 F-15C’s, and with that, some upgrade plans with them.
And lets not forget all the F-15E too.
    USAF has got it covered.

I would put USMC in the worst spot by far.

    Whaaat? :highly_amused:
Last batch of F-16 for Usaf were produced under Bush presidency. Bush senior i mean.
F-15C last batch was produced in 1985.
F-15E 1988-2001 but in a very relaxed way. 236 total production.

And 400 are the sum of the two models not just F-15c

Is it possible for Tu-22M to drop its bombs in selective amounts? For example if it takes off with 33 FAB-500s in internal bay, can pilot drop 6 if he wants? If not, then why waste bombs?

    Yes, absolutely.
They are stacked in column of three, one above the other but it’s possible to drop each column separatedly.

Let’s give a look also to this (excellent) article from charly015.

    http://charly015.blogspot.it/2016/07/ataque-contra-una-instalacion_15.html
Also for a confirmation about the more than sufficient precision & effectiveness of such attacks.

The footage 0:01 to 0:35 shows an Su-30SM.. The footage 0:35 to 0:48 is an Su-35S (note different HUD). The rest are Tu-22M-3.
In Hamadan only Tu-22M-3s, an Il-76MD and (allegedly) Su-34s are stationed. Can’t be a footage from that raid.

    Report from minister of defence.

    http://eng.mil.ru/en/news_page/country/more.htm?id=12092929@egNews

Said that Flankers came from Latakia.

It oses a question, planes would in every case pass through Iran and Iraq, so who would escort them there? Can russian fighter start from Iran, they meet with Latakia ones over Iraq or each nation does for itself?

Alleged RT footage of first raid from Iran.

According to Reuters, not only Tupolev it seems.

Now I see Su-30 there and not any increase of payload dropped , so I have a doubt about the real relation between the video and the news.

For what I know Tu-22 usually started from Mozdok, not from Engels -2 that host also Tu-160.
I also found the one about refuel strange, as they are both still well in the rang,e probably it refers to some escort more than Backfires themselves.
