25 years …….!! Work began on V9312 back in 2005 with the wings in building 66 with the fuselage following on later.
I think there may be some confusion with ARCo restoring the IWM Lysander before that

And since the Merlins were less powerful, it made the single engined performance marginal IIRC. However, the ‘power eggs’ designed for the Beaufighter II were adapted for the Lancaster I think?

It is interesting all this talk of power
When then blenheim was on the drawing board the most powerful engine available was an engine designed in the 1920’s, it was the first radial engine to achieve one horsepower per one pound weight,it was fuel efficient and was producing more power than the merlin. So Bristols in their wisdom used the best aero engine for the job THE BRISTOL MERCURY.

The Blenheim pilots view is more than acceptable but the navigator is restricted in the mk.1 hence the elongation in the later versions

If one looks at the geograph of the shoreham accident I believe the transposed to the duxford layout I have a strong feeling we would all reconsider even thinking of standing on the bank

As a member of the Blenheim society I feel that several of our older members would like to reply and say
“HEY We Are still here “
Another nice article badly research by a publisher

Also I think john romain and lee proud foot may hope to be in the same category as former and soon to be current blenheim pilots

I spent some time chasing them to no avail
Would also love to get hold of a copy as our blenheim uses the parts and would help us maintain the old girl

Probably because it is being moved from Blenheim Palace and, being it is an active airfield and the Lysander very open, they did not want to drop Foreign objects/risk FODding something?

Maybe it just came out of paint shop ?
