Just a bump really as this weekend.
The best day seems Monday which will see all three ships “manoeuvring” in the Mersey plus light show and fireworks in the evening. This has to be worth seeing if within striking distance.

Thank you Roger there is nothing more disrespectful than getting somebodies name wrong and especially under these circumstances, corrected.
I see what you mean re Martin Shaw I didn’t know he was there and wouldn’t have recognised him anyway despite liking his TV work.
Paul
Somehow these had passed me by so thanks, I don’t think this covers to which you refer though, A & M which had also passed me by until the “Humour” thread. Must get out more.

The Dragon Rapides.
TX310 was busy for much of the day earning her keep giving pleasure rides from a boarding point set back into the crowed line. This area was created using standard removable barrier fencing which allowed a good view although slightly further from the runway and display line.

In the Restoration/maintenance hanger was G-AGTM named Sybille after the sad death of Sybille Gautrey, a volunteer pilot with Air Atlantique, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/aviation/9594174/Five-killed-after-air-traffic-controllers-misunderstood-aircraft-jargon.html. TM had both engines removed.

In the above picture at the back of the shop can be seen G-AKRP undergoing an extensive overhaul.

Welcome to the forum ProVox and many thanks for your detailed report.
Rob68 I can’t answer that but maybe the radio problem returned.
The Meteor night fighter WM167 and the Vampire XJ771 took off in close succession and put on a joint display. This was followed by a solo display by the Meteor and then, as Rob68 says, a short display by the Vampire before they both returned to the flight line. I will be posting flight line pictures in the “CAF visit” thread in Historic.

Thanks for posting Charlie. I find it odd, shall we say, that the constituents of Thanet have elected a UKIP council, are there problems there that are not immediately obvious to the outsider that would make UKIP a contender? Or is it “just” a vote over the airport?
