With regard to the officer who jumps on the bonnet. What I want to know is……

Where are his hi vis vest, safety boots, safety helmet and his harness to comply with the working at height regulations.

    H+S would have a field day……………

Another thought where are his safety gloves in case of flying glass…

Hi guys, ive looked into ebay and to list it would cost £1.30 + £0.90 per photo so about £10 to list. There is a final value fee of 10% up to a max of £40 so to sell it on ebay would cost around £50.

I sold a guitar recently on ebay and the fees made it not worth selling it at all. Remember your paypal fees too.

If you have a firm offer privately of 6 to 8 grand then I would seriously consider taking it because Ebay and fees etc and the whole ebay experiance aint worth the hassle. What was once quite good is a bit of a joke now.

I however am only posting for information purposes as I have no interest in buying so no hidden agenda here.

Right lets bring some realism to this thread 10 grand for a flier ( I’ll have some of what he’s on ) this unit as it stands is only worth scrap metal value. As Bruce says all the metal parts could be scrap, the spring units are missing and the adjuster/tensioner is disconnected or missing the seat pan (4 pieces) if they are cracked and or delaminating so without flying out there to survey it then it is worth £500 at a push £1000 might not even be worth the air fare

Your not interested in buying this for yourself are you??

Its worth what someone wants to pay for it and a lot more than scrap value.

And its not about whats missing its about what is still there.

I just put a Lightning search on ‘thread ‘ mode and it was cr@p, only 2 hits.

Just to test out the whole search function I tried it and put “lightning” in the search box and selected the all text function. It returned 500 hits. I did the same again in the title only search function and it came back with 3 pages of hits. So the search function does work. I didnt even log in either which sometimes on other forums seems to be the source of the problem for many as they usually require you to log in.

One thing that I dont like while not logged in is the captcha image verification. Its never very easy to make out at the best of times. Very difficult to see the letters sometimes. God only knows what it must be like for someone who is colour blind.

Nothing against you personally Baz just using the quote from your post to highlight a point mate.

circumstances could have altered since this topic was last discussed , ok

Sadly for us that answer would be no!!

We are only ever bound by tighter safer regulations.

God forbid if we were ever to follow our hearts and fly one of these.

I think there are many many things that need to be carefully thought through if it isn’t going to cost Scotland a fortune. DVLA, DSS, Inland Revenue, defence forces, NHS all of these things and many many more will need to be split from their UK counterparts and set up as independent organizations. It will take years to sort out and at huge cost I suspect. When Scotland votes I hope these things are considered and debated beforehand and don’t come as surprises afterwards.

I suspect many of these will be kept national services but would be based on a buy in basis. ie Scotland would buy into these services.

in saying that I have heard all of this before and being Scottish I have no intrerest in the whole thing I would rather let other people take the decision and just deal with what will happen.

remember we all voted before and we didnt split then. It might be tight but I dont think we will split the uk.

    Really?

Do the menus annoy people that much.

The annoy me so much that I hardly ever notice them unless I actually need to use them. Which isnt very often.

    🙂

They are a vital and integral part of this website and unless you want to start funding bigger and better forum scripts your stuck with them.

Personally I find them very usuable and they function well as far as they need to be used.

Dont see what the problem is.

Maybe its your own skills at computing that need looking at. Or your computer is not fuctioning properly regarding scripts etc therefore not allowing you to open the menu properly etc.

    Have fun.

    These are seriously NICE Kev.

Are you mainly into arms and armour or do you do other subjects too?

My main interest is aircraft but had been thinking of doing a Band of Brothers diorama and maybe a British Normandy landing scene.

Not sure yet and I would definately have to brush up on my figure painting skills before I tried.

I am sure you will notice the errors and ommissions but I am quite pleased with how my first proper build went.

She aint perfect but then neither am I.

Here she is in all her glory.

I love the reflection of the fin flash in the tail on this one.

Underside. Notice the obvious lack of underwing serial numbers. My fault but it will not be left out in future models. Better planning required.

I have to point out here that the black blob on the nose was actually painted freehand so if it looks wobbly its because it is and not because of paint bleed.

Close up of the cockpit area. I need to try and get rid of the dust inside the cockpit next time.

Well I had fun building this model and it has inspired me to keep going and to try and be a little faster next time if I can be. I think I have gain a little confidence in my work and I am sure I will be having even more fun with the next one. Be sure to look out for the next build thread.

    Thanks for watching this one.
